New placement on Netflix! 🙏🏾@beraudmusic and I recreated the theme for Temptation Island, and it first appears in Episode 1 for over 2 minutes.What most people don’t see is how this actually happened…This came from a relationship I built 2 years ago through the @laampmusic program. I won a scholarship to attend LAAMP in 2024 from the team over at @output! I was paired with Beraud on the final songwriting project. Following up with her later down the road and I just so happen to get the opportunity to work on this. She recorded it (I think the same day). And here we are! No cold pitch. No viral moment. Just staying consistent, building with the right people, and being ready when the opportunity showed up. #Chicago has been good to us. This trip is about so much more than sightseeing.Two years ago, our daughter was here as an NAACP ACT-SO scholarship competitor. This year, we’re back to cheer on our son as he competes in the Short Story category.It’s been amazing watching our kids grow into their own gifts and seeing them pursue excellence in different ways.I’m also incredibly proud of my wife, who has served as the Co-Chair of the Prince William County NAACP ACT-SO program for several years. Seeing her pour into these students, encourage families, and help create opportunities for the next generation is something special.Today we explored the Obama Presidential Center before heading over to Millennium Park to see “The Bean.”And yes… somehow my wife managed to figure out how to get 20 same-day tickets to the Obama Presidential Center. 😂If anyone needs a travel agent… I know a pretty good one. LOL.Can’t give away all her secrets.Tomorrow is awards day.Prayers, good vibes, and crossed fingers for all of the incredible students representing their communities this week.Let’s go! 🙏🏾🏆 by @dafingaz

Chicago! 👋🏾I’m in town this week with my son for the NAACP ACT SO Scholarship Competition. We’d appreciate your prayers and well wishes as he competes!I’m also thinking about putting together an informal music meetup this weekend while I’m here. Nothing fancy.
