Every season tells a story, and this one began with heartbreak. There were moments of disappointment and setbacks that could have defined the year, but instead they became the fuel that drove me to work even harder.

Through every every training session, every challenge, and every competition, I remained committed to the process. That dedication produced a season to be proud of, one filled with personal bests, national representation, CARIFTA success, and memories that will last a lifetime.

None of this journey was walked alone. A heartfelt thank you to my long jump coach, Chevelle and (Dareem for the assist), for believing, pushing, and guiding me every step of the way. To my family, thank you for the unwavering encouragement and sacrifices. And to Mommy and Daddy, thank you for your endless dedication, the countless hours, the quiet sacrifices, and the unconditional love that made this season possible.

To every teammate, friend, supporter, official, and person who cheered from the sidelines or followed the journey from afar, thank you. Your support meant more than you know.

Now it's time to rest, reflect, and prepare for what lies ahead. The 2026 season may be over, but this is only another chapter in a journey that is just beginning.

As I reflect on my 2025 season, it was not without its own set of trials and tribulations. I had to pivot early in the season and had to re-evaluate my goals and my commitment to the sport. The ending was bittersweet as I was unable to really represent my country the way I was prepared to. Nonetheless, it is a year I am extremely proud of. There were so many accomplishments, and for that, I want to acknowledge the support of my coaches, parents, family, teammates, and Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹. Thank you all again, and I am looking forward to season 2026.

Track and field may be my talent but dancing is my love. I've been immersed in the culture of Tobago at a young age, a tradition passed down by my grandmother. This is me at the Salaka Feast. 2026 season reflections 💭✨

The journey so far hasn’t been a straight line, but it’s been mine.

Coming into this year, my goals were clear: hit the standard in the 100m hurdles, long jump, and earn my spot on the 4x100m relay team for Girls U17. I put in the work, and at trials I ran a personal best and hit the standard… but still didn’t make the team for hurdles. That one hurt. Long jump didn’t go my way that day either.

But setbacks don’t define me, how I respond does.

After trials, I went back to the drawing board, made a big technical change, and trusted the process. At CARIFTA, I came back stronger,jumped a personal best and placed 4th, just missing the podium. I’m also proud to have played my part on the 4x100m relay team, bringing home bronze 🥉 with my girls.

Not every chapter goes how you plan, but every chapter builds you.

Grateful for the lessons, the growth, and the journey so far 🙏🏾 The season isn’t over; reset, refocus, and ready for the second half.

I want to thank my family, my coaches and those who supported me along the way so far. It means the world to me.
