Not sure where to start with exercise? Start simple.

Here’s a quick 30-minute, no-equipment workout you can do at home:

🚶‍♀️ 10-minute walk
✨ Dynamic warm-up
💪 Full-body strength workout
🧘‍♀️ Static stretches to finish

You don’t need a complicated program, a gym membership, or hours of free time to start making progress.

Start with what feels doable, build the habit, and go from there.

Save this for the next time you have 30 minutes and don’t know what to do!

Stop avoiding RDLs. 😅 Save this step-by-step guide!

The Romanian Deadlift (RDL) is one of my favorite exercises for building strength through your glutes and hamstrings—but the movement can feel awkward at first.

Here’s how to nail it 👇

1️⃣ Start strong
Feet about shoulder-width apart, knees softly bent, shoulders down and back. Keep the weight close to your legs and your head in a neutral position, looking down.

2️⃣ Push your hips back
Think “close the car door with your butt.” 😂
Push your hips behind you while keeping your back straight and the weights close to your legs.

3️⃣ Find your stretch
As you lower, your knees can bend slightly more if needed. Go only as far as you can while maintaining good form and feeling a stretch through your hamstrings and glutes.

4️⃣ Stand tall
Once your hips can’t move back any farther, squeeze your glutes and drive your hips forward to return to the starting position.

💡 The key: An RDL is a hip hinge, not a squat. Your hips move back, not down.

Save this for your next lower-body workout! 💪

Have you mastered the RDL, or is this one you’ve been avoiding?

The biggest weight loss secret?

🚶‍♀️ Walking.

That’s it.

Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or you’re in the gym 5 days a week, walking is one of the most underrated tools for burning calories, increasing your daily activity, and supporting fat loss.

✅ Low impact
✅ Free
✅ You can do it anywhere
✅ Easy to recover from
✅ Fits into almost any schedule

Don’t overcomplicate it.

Your next workout might just be a walk around the block.

Small daily movement leads to big results.

No matter what your goal is—losing weight, training for a half marathon, starting exercise for the first time, or getting back into a routine—the foundation is the same.

Move your body. Get those steps in throughout the day. Even if you ran in the morning, those recovery steps in the evening matter. Find your average step count and slowly increase it.

Eat enough protein and nourishing foods to fuel your body. You should aim for .8-1g of protein per pound of body weight. So if 140 lbs is your goal weight, you should shoot for 110-140g protein per day. But slowly work up to that!

Drink your water. Fill your water bottle in the morning and plan to refill it again by lunch!

Build strength. Start with 2 strength workouts a week and work up to three.

Value sleep and recovery. Your body needs it! 7-8 hours of sleep every night can make a difference!

And most importantly, create habits you can actually stick with.

Your goal may change, but the habits that support a healthy, strong life don’t. 🌿

Start small. Stay consistent. Keep going.

You are worth the 20–30 minutes.

Put your shoes on. Go for a walk. Do a strength workout. Move your body and feel proud that you chose to take care of yourself.

And remember—your kids are watching.

Mine have grown up seeing fitness as a normal part of life. Not because we told them they had to do it, but because they’ve seen the value in taking care of yourself and learned to enjoy it too.

Take care of yourself. You’re worth it. 👟❤️

🍑 A simple lower-body move to add to your routine: Sumo Squats

Sumo squats are a great way to work your glutes, quads and inner thighs while also challenging your core.

A few form cues to remember:
✔️ Feet wider than shoulder-width
✔️ Toes slightly turned out
✔️ Knees track over your toes
✔️ Keep your core engaged
✔️ Push through your whole foot
✔️ Squeeze your glutes at the top

If you’re newer to strength training, start with a weight that allows you to control the movement and focus on your form.

Save this for your next lower-body workout! 💪

🎵 It’s a hard habit to break… 🎵 😂

And apparently Chicago was talking about healthy habits because I have a few of these myself!

Here are 3 habits that can be tough to break — and a few simple ways to start changing them:

🍿 Late-night snacking
→ Make sure dinner is satisfying and includes protein + fiber
→ Try sparkling water, tea or another evening ritual
→ And if you’re genuinely hungry, EAT! Choose something filling instead of trying to “be good.”

📱 Late-night scrolling
→ Start with putting your phone down just 15–30 minutes earlier
→ Charge it away from your bed
→ Replace some of that scrolling with reading a good book

☕ Coffee-only breakfast
→ You don’t have to give up your coffee!
→ Just try adding some protein alongside it — Greek yogurt, eggs, cottage cheese, turkey sausage or a protein smoothie are easy options. Or eat a little with coffee and the rest in a bit.

The goal isn’t to break every “bad” habit overnight.

Small changes. Repeated consistently. That’s where the magic happens. ❤️

What’s YOUR hard habit to break? 👇

Small form tweaks can make a BIG difference. 💪

Here are a few common mistakes I see with some popular exercises — plus simple cues to help you feel stronger, move better, and get more out of each rep.

Lat Pulldowns
❌Chin is down, shoulders rounded, elbows pointing back, and the bar is coming down too low
✅Look up towards the top of the machine
✅Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the bottom of the movement
✅Think of pushing your elbows down towards your pockets (rather than pulling the bar with your hands)

RDLs
❌Head is up (looking in the mirror) causing an arch in the back, the weights are too far from the legs and putting strain on the lower back and shifting the weight onto the toes
✅Head should be down and core engaged to keep the back flat
✅Keep the weights close to your legs all the way down and all the way up, with your weight mostly on your heels

Dumbbell Chest Press
❌Elbows are flared out to the sides putting strain on the shoulder joint and causing shoulders to shrug up towards the ears
✅Elbows should be at 45 degrees
✅Keep shoulder blades pushed down into the bench

Squats
❌Knees are caving in and the head is up (looking in the mirror again), causing the back to arch
✅Focus eyes down in front of you
✅Keep knees in line with your toes, pushing out
✅Engage your core to keep your back flat

Standing Shoulder Press
❌Elbows are flared out to the sides causing the ribs to flare out and the back to arch
✅Elbows should be slightly in front of your body
✅Keep ribs pulled down, core engaged, and glutes squeezed - all to keep the back flat

What are you waiting for?

You don’t need a gym membership.
You don’t need an hour-long workout.
You don’t need a perfect meal plan.
You don’t need to completely change your life.

You can start with what you already have. ❤️

Take a walk.
Drink some water.
Do a few simple strength exercises at home.

Small steps count. And those small steps can become the habits that change everything.

Start where you are. Start small. Start TODAY.

Want to burn more calories without adding another workout? 👀

Move more throughout your day.

Take the stairs.
Park a little farther away.
Walk while your coffee brews.
Take a 10-minute walk after dinner.
Play outside with your kids.
Get up and move between tasks.

It doesn’t have to be another hour at the gym.

Those little bursts of movement add up. 🙌

You don’t need to overhaul your life to make progress.
Start by moving a little more than you did yesterday.
