Electric into the future: Racktours takes delivery of three Mercedes‑Benz eCitaro.🚍️⭐️All vehicles are equipped with the latest generation of NMC 4 high-voltage batteries. Two of the buses feature five battery packs, providing a total capacity of 555 kWh. The third vehicle is equipped with six battery packs, reaching a maximum capacity of 666 kWh.In addition, the vehicles offer an extensive range of safety and comfort features. These include the digital MirrorCam system, a rearview camera, full interior video monitoring, and advanced driver assistance systems such as Sideguard Assist 2, Frontguard Assist, Traffic Sign Assist, and Attention Assist 2 with infrared camera. Each vehicle is also equipped with two charging sockets, located above the front flap on the right-hand side and above the right front axle. @mercedesbenztrucks expands its e‑truck portfolio with new eActros Lowliner variant. ⭐️🚛A Lowliner truck is a tractor unit with a particularly low coupling height, enabling the transport of trailers with increased interior volume. These transports, commonly referred to as volume transports, are designed for goods where space requirements are a key factor - especially tightly packed cargo such as boxed goods.Our new eActros Lowliner is available with either two or three LFP battery packs, each rated at 207 kWh(*). This results in an installed battery capacity of 414 kWh(*) for the eActros 400 Lowliner and 621 kWh(*) for the eActros 600 Lowliner. The range of the eActros 600 Lowliner is approximately on par with that of the standard eActros 600, which achieves a range of 500 kilometers(**) without intermediate charging when operated with three battery packs and a gross combination weight of 40 metric tons.The first new models will be available to order starting in the third quarter of 2026 in the EU30 markets and additional markets, with series production scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2027 at our Wörth am Rhein plant.#DaimlerTruck #MercedesBenzTrucks*Nominal capacity of a new battery, based on internally defined boundary conditions. Mercedes-Benz Trucks has secured a major order from Lithuanian logistics and transport company TRANSTIRA. More than 500 Actros L ProCabin trucks will be delivered to our customer during 2026. ⭐️🚛➡️ “A decisive factor in the customer’s decision is predictable fuel consumption, as well as the vehicles’ total operating costs. At the same time, driver comfort, satisfaction, and working conditions are gaining increasing importance,” says Paulius Kraučiūnas, Sales Manager of the Truck Division at Veho Lietuva - the Lithuanian subsidiary of the Finnish Veho Group responsible for the sales and service of Mercedes-Benz Trucks.➡️ The vehicles are equipped with the latest assistance and safety systems, including Active Brake Assist 6 Plus and Active Sideguard Assist 2. Predictive Powertrain Control additionally supports anticipatory and efficient driving on long‑distance routes.➡️ When selecting vehicles, TRANSTIRA also places a strong emphasis on driver comfort. Among other features, the ProCabin offers new seats, optimized beds with mattresses, additional USB‑C ports, and an enhanced operating concept. 130 years after the invention of the truck we are celebrating 130 years of FORWARD – here’s episode #3 of our anniversary FORWARD series: Power to drive Past forward, the first truck was powered by an engine called "Phoenix“. It was a four-horsepower-strong two-cylinder engine (later models also with four-cylinder engines) located at the rear and originating from a car. The name “Phoenix” symbolized rebirth and a technological breakthrough – a fitting metaphor for the leap from the belt-driven motor carriages to the modern automobile and truck. Fast forward, our trucks are powered by state-of the art engines like the OM 471 Gen 3, produced in Mannheim. The engine delivers up to four percent lower fuel consumption than its predecessor and is one of our most efficient Mercedes‑Benz Trucks diesel engines to date, helping our customers to save fuel day after day.
