sometimes you don’t have a business problem. You have personal wounds bleeding into your business.

That fear of showing up? That constant overthinking? That fear of hearing NO?
Sometimes that’s the spirit of rejection showing up in your business.

Maybe it started with your parents. Maybe it came from a toxic relationship that made you question your worth.
And now you’re allowing those wounds to silence the very gifts God gave you.

What if the breakthrough you’re praying for is connected to the gift you’re afraid to use?

I say this because I’ve lived it.
As a single mother, I had to walk away from a toxic relationship, trusted God, and built with the gifts He placed inside me.

My gift made room for me. But I had to stop letting fear make my decisions.

you can’t keep asking God for a sign while allowing rejection to keep you from walking through the doors He’s opening.

You don’t have to be perfectly healed to start walking in obedience.

What if you’re more afraid of looking foolish in front of people than you are of missing the step God is asking you to take? 🥺

You keep praying for a way out of living paycheck to paycheck.

You want to help your husband financially.
You want to start a family without constantly worrying about money.
You want to finally breathe instead of feeling like you’re just surviving.
And deep down, you feel like God has been nudging you toward something different.

But then the thoughts creep in…
“What if people think I’m crazy?”
“What if I post and nobody cares?”
“What if I fail?”
“I don’t even know where to start.”

So you keep watching other women do the very thing you’ve been praying for the courage to do.
And another month goes by.

Friend, Galatians 1:10 asks us to examine whose approval we’re seeking… man’s or God’s.
And sometimes the thing keeping us stuck isn’t a lack of opportunity.

It’s that we’ve given people’s opinions more authority over our decisions than the calling we believe God has placed on our hearts.

You are ALLOWED to be a beginner.
You’re allowed to learn as you go.
You’re allowed to start before you feel ready.
You don’t need everyone’s approval to take one step of faith. 🤍

The difference between a perfectionist and an action taker? One is waiting for everything to make sense. The other is making moves and figuring it out along the way.

And I’m not telling you this from a book I read. I’m telling you this from LIVED EXPERIENCE.

I was a homeless single mother with THREE kids.
No job.
No money.
No credit.
No safety net.

I had every excuse in the world to sit back and wait until my circumstances changed.
But I made a decision that changed everything.

I would rather take messy action and figure it out along the way than sit around waiting for the perfect opportunity.

I’d rather bite off more than I can chew and LEARN how to chew. 💯

Because here’s what I’ve learned…
Some people have the degree.
The supportive husband.
The bills paid.
The stable 9–5.
The time.
The resources.
The connections.

And they’re STILL sitting on the gifts God gave them.
Not because they aren’t talented.
Not because they aren’t capable.
Not because God hasn’t given them a vision.
But because FEAR has convinced them they need to be more prepared before they can begin.

So they keep planning.
Keep researching.
Keep second-guessing.
Keep waiting for confirmation.

Meanwhile, another year goes by, and they’re still in the same place financially, mentally, and spiritually.

And here’s what I need you to understand…
You cannot keep praying for God to bless what you’re too afraid to start.

Your gifts were never meant to sit dormant while you struggle to make ends meet.

God gave you gifts for a REASON.

The Bible says your gifts will make room for you. But you’ve got to be willing to SHOW UP and USE THEM. by @daisyfuentezz

I had no idea where me and my kids were going to sleep next… but God already knew where He was taking us. 🥹

After years of leaving and going back, getting pregnant, believing the love bombing, and holding on to promises that things would change… I found myself right back in a situation I had prayed so many times to get out of.
We were living at my mom’s house, and things had gotten really hard.

I remember finally telling my mom that I didn’t want to be with him anymore. I was hoping she would tell him to leave.

Instead, she told me that me and my kids had to go.
And that hurt DEEP.
I already felt like I had been fighting for my life emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. And now I was facing the possibility of having nowhere to go with my children.

But I also remember my pride kicking in.
Like, “Oh, y’all really don’t think I’m going to figure this out? Watch me.”

The truth was… I had NO plan.
No home waiting for us.
No guarantee of what was next.
No idea how everything was going to work out.
But I knew about a domestic violence shelter called Safe House.
And looking back, I know it was the Lord who led me there.
What I’ll never forget is what happened during that season.
I remember sitting in a clinic and hearing the Lord’s voice so clearly. I remember Him showing me a vision of what my life could look like.
And I remember Him telling me that everything was going to work out.
That by the end of that year, and into the next, my life was going to look completely different.
And I’m not going to lie…
I questioned it.
“God, is this really You? Or am I just imagining things because I desperately want my life to change?”
But something in me decided to believe Him.
I remember thinking, “Okay, Lord. I’m going to trust You. And in six months… in a year… we’re going to see if what I heard and saw was really You.”
And let me tell you something…

I stopped chasing my backup plan when I realized it was costing me the very thing I was trying to build.

The truth is, I always knew I wanted to create content.

I just didn’t know how to turn the way my mind worked, my creativity, or my ability to help people see themselves differently into something people would actually pay for.

So I did what I thought was responsible.

I created a backup plan.

I became an esthetician. Opened a beauty suite. And tried to build a business that made sense financially, even though deep down, I knew it wasn’t what I wanted to do long term.

But here’s what that season taught me…

Just because you’re capable of building something doesn’t mean you’re called to build it.

And when the money isn’t coming in, passion matters more than people realize.

Because what’s going to keep you showing up when there’s no immediate reward?

For me, it was always marketing. Content. Strategy. Helping people step into the version of themselves they couldn’t see yet.

And one day I had to ask myself…

If building a beauty business requires the same energy, sacrifice, and consistency as building my marketing business, why am I pouring all of that into something I already know I don’t want forever?

That’s when I realized my backup plan wasn’t protecting my dream anymore. It was delaying it.

So I made the decision to pivot.

Not because I had everything figured out.

Not because the money was suddenly there.

But because I knew I couldn’t keep building a future I didn’t actually want.

And what happened next wasn’t exactly glamorous…

I was doing Uber Eats. Cleaning houses. Doing whatever I needed to do to keep going.

And then I found out I was pregnant with baby number FOUR. 😭

Little did I know, 2025 would become a turning point in my story.

But that’s for the next episode. 👀
