Getting into the shower and the steam smells like tomato greens and scrubbing the thick resin off my fingers and when I’m driving, a single crow moves out of my lane and I went to the movies by myself and saw that practical magic movie that just brought me back to being an elementary school girl, and holding seances with my friends on the playground, I sort of submitted to fall that day in a wool sweater and my friend called me miss summer USA, and she was poking fun at my resistance to ugly mums and gourds and yet, I hang witches hats from my porch and have three rotating costumes, witch, ghost, clown and always carve the same classic face on my jack o lanterns by @daisyhips

my mom had put my great great grandmother’s butterfly quilt on the twin bed
Which now looking back, reminds me of the other day when I went to the tailor, and a woman was in there having a camel coat resized to fit her. It was her late husband’s. I thought it must be nice to think about being hugged by your late husband.she probably never washed it. anyways, that’s how I think about my great great grandmother’s quilt on my bed. It was a way of trying to comfort me.
Have you ever heard the phrase “a little long in the tooth?”? Well, it means getting old I think..and ragged. that’s how I think about this particular situation or story. It’s getting a little long in the tooth. by @daisyhips
