Places… and fits, how I love a gorgeous bar. Stopped by @starlitesf to meet friends for a bottle of champs before dinner at @cotogna_sf, and wow, that view! My first time at this cute little spot, and it felt very cool.

Cotogna didn’t disappoint either, the pastas are incredible. As a discerning foodie in the food capital of the world that nyc is, I highly approve. SF’s food scene has some game, and seeing some of my fave people while in town made it all even sweeter. Highly recommend these two spots.

Style and places. Palo Alto to Union Square, with a few ping pong matches and plot twists along the way. 🏓✨

TechCrunch Disrupt, dinners with researchers and AI leaders, meeting founders, brainstorming what’s next, and stepping into my new role in AI privacy with native labs and brands in New York—while finding where Maison II can thrive in this growing ecosystem as our community grows and experiences start to take form.

Add West Coast besties, a new beau (California, you flirt 🤭), and so much inspiration for the brand I’m building… it’s been a pretty wonderful week.

California is starting to feel like a second home. Good thing I’m back in a few days. 🤍 taken in San Francisco, California by @daisyinheels

Rituals that streamline travel. For this trip; I managed to carry a week’s worth of fits in a carry-on duffel. It was a bit heavy, I recommend a roller. However, it was a fun challenge.

What I packed included

2 dresses
1 skirt
1 pant
3 tshirts (loving @leset for tees lately!)
A short black trench jacket
A belt and heels
Toiletries and jewelry bag
Not shown here because I wore:
My silk @hermes scarf
Suede fringe jacket (vintage)
Denim jeans
Black vest
Loafer flats
An old sac plat from @louisvuitton

Will share looks once I steam everything and wear. Do you pack light when you travel too? taken in Palo Alto, California by @daisyinheels

Places and travel, I am headed to San Fran to play with the big leagues of AI privacy this week. Rushed a bit but was proud of myself for packing a week’s worth of fits into one duffel… until I realized what I forgot and how heavy it is. Now I have to literally carry the week on my shoulder. Wearing my new @hermes scarf though 😏 taken in John F. Kennedy International Airport by @daisyinheels

Style and this polka dot dress on a warm fall day in New York ! I carried a red sweater which had to keep taking off. A couple of looks and vibes this week. I walked to every meeting lunch and date. It’s amazing how much of my life already took place in this neighborhood! And now even my new office is here. Still getting settled in the new place and leave to California on biz next week. Will share a reel on what I am packing for this trip and more Fall fits. Stay tuned ;) taken in Manhattan, New York by @daisyinheels

Places and a tale of two homes. There’s a curious thing that happens to New Yorkers after a certain number of years. We begin entertaining the possibility of life beyond Manhattan. We explore Brooklyn, Westchester, Connecticut, the Hudson Valley, sometimes even farther. Some of us do an in between, some leave. Some return.

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what my ideal life looks like. The energy, spontaneity and cultural richness of Manhattan, balanced with open skies, fresh air and a little more room to breathe. I explored this with my house upstate while keeping a Manhattan footprint. I then went full time CT for a bit, exploring Greenwich, Darien and Stamford areas. I didn’t want to remain there full time but for a period, a summer, a fall and a winter, it made sense. What didn’t make sense, was how often the city called because it’s my playground and where I spend most of my time. Work, social life and everything I love is here. It’s also closer to where my son goes to school, while he loves CT life.

I’ve recently made the West Village my second home, as I explore other areas where I’d get a proper house.

Still letting life unfold as to where my perfect trifecta will be. NY | LA | Island life ? For now, its West Village life. No pool, but a working fire place.

Places and rituals, while my mom stock is trading at an all-time low these days. My boy is entering adolescence, and apparently, friends, sports, and screens have officially surpassed museums and afternoons with mom. I knew this day was coming, but I may have underestimated the speed of the market correction.

We spent the afternoon at the Whitney for the members’ preview of the Roy Lichtenstein exhibition, which is phenomenal and one I highly recommend.

He grew up exploring nearly every major museum in New York and countless others throughout our travels. These days, I negotiate 45 minutes to an hour, screens away except for photos or capturing something interesting. I try to make it engaging: Which piece is your favorite? Why? What makes art valuable? What does it take for an artist to develop a body of work worthy of a museum?

I’m not entirely sure how much of it sticks. But I hope that somewhere between the eye rolls and negotiations, a little curiosity finds its way in.

For now, I’ll keep insisting on afternoons like these. Exposing him to art, culture, and things that inspire me is one of my favorite parts of motherhood, even when the enthusiasm isn’t mutual.

And perhaps one day, when the mom stock rebounds, he’ll remember these afternoons as fondly as I do. Who can relate?!

Ritual, I still read magazines and subscribe to them. BUY THE GLOSSIES.

Call me nostalgic, but there is something about getting lost in a magazine shop that no algorithm can replicate.

The weight of the paper. The smell. The typography. The art direction. The pleasure of discovering something you weren’t looking for that is visually inspiring.

I grew up loving magazines. They shaped how I understood fashion, photography, design and storytelling.

Today, when everything is AI optimized for speed, clicks and endless scrolling, I find myself craving more of the things that ask us to slow down.

Not everything needs to be digital. And not everything needs to be optimized.

Some things deserve to be held, collected, and occasionally left on the coffee table for years. What magazines do you like to read or subscribe to? taken in CASA Magazines NYC by @daisyinheels

Style with a little Hermès, an unboxing! 🧡 I’m cringing a bit as I rarely do these, but there was something so satisfying about opening these boxes and sharing this little moment. I love commemorating life’s chapters through fashion. My closet is filled with pieces that tell stories, each one reminding me of a particular place, milestone, or season of life. And nothing says welcome to a new neighborhood like a little something from @hermes. How do you commemorate new life phases?

Rituals GTKM | The Equestrian Life 🐎

Everything in life begins with the courage to try something you’re not good at yet. I believe in being a lifelong beginner, following curiosity wherever it leads, even when it means starting from scratch.

I’m a rider, although I rarely share world here. For years, I spent nearly every weekend riding with a private horse breeder in Bedford and later with @manhattanridingclub, a wonderful community of equestrians, several from Columbia Univ.

I trained in dressage, and while riding has always been a hobby, it taught me so much more than technique. Patience, discipline, trust, and the extraordinary connection that can exist between a horse and its rider. I also learned what it means to care for these magnificent animals.

I brought my son into that world, too. We rode together for several seasons, even in Andalusia, Spain. Sadly, his allergies eventually made those outings difficult, and I’ve ridden less frequently since.

Along the way, I’ve taken up tennis and skiing, and we’ve spent nearly a decade skiing together every winter. He’s now a very skilled skier, I conquer greens and blues🫣and I dream of the day we might heli-ski together in Banff.

And if I own a countryside home again, maybe I rescue a couple of horses and make riding part of that life.

For now, I’m learning the harp, another humbling reminder of what it feels like to begin again.

Perhaps that’s the real ritual: never becoming so comfortable with what you know that you stop discovering what else you might love. 🤎 by @daisyinheels
