I was reading about the way CBD changes the structure of the tau molecule, disallowing it to form in the brain as a harmful structure. Build up of tau in circular structures is what causes alzheimers. CBD causes the structure of tau to become straight and non entangling. Another article goes on to say this.
Furthermore, it was found that pretreatment with cannabidiol (CBD) can inhibit the expression of proteins involved in tau phosphorylation and Aβ production in gingival mesenchymal stem cells [38].
