I am choosing a bold new way to be an artist in a world that asks us to be available 24/7

I’m taking my time and attention back and honouring my artistic practice in all its intricate, meditative and wonderfully consuming ways.

✌🏽Bring on more balance!

Much love ❤️

I love the illustrator part of my work so much.

Collaborating with others is an essential part of who I am and I relish in it.

Get in touch with me if you have a project you want to discuss. There is a bit of a wait at this stage but I’ll potentially have a spot opening up later this year.

Also, there are currently so many shirt and tea towel designs to choose from in my printed goods shop.. I love that many of my prints and illustrations can have another life and become wearable 🥰

The first moment revealing a new print is what got me hooked on printmaking..

But it’s become the intricate slow process connecting me with the initial seed of inspiration that keeps me here doing what I do.

I honestly think that this was the first time I’ve ever had a reaction of ‘I hate it’ when peeling back the first print off a freshly finished carving..

It was an uncomfortable feeling..

So I sat with it..

And it didn’t take me long to get out of my analytical brain and remember the reason I made it in the first place.

And now I love it 🐝

I remember the moment.

The print keeps me with it.

Simple and connected - In my garden after I’d let my rocket and broccoli flower so I could collect the seed for next season.. peering through the tulsi..

The pollinators varied and busy.. so many of them at work..

Everything else ceased to exist for a moment and I melted into their dance and hum… and I just took a breath ✨

And now I have this visual reminder to bring me back here..

To this peaceful moment of real beautiful life.

My print shop has been having a roses moment this past 2 cycles 🥀

‘Winter Roses’ is definitely my most popular print of late..

I’m really enjoying this as this print is celebrating such a simple moment of beauty, and I really do believe that these simple moments that stop you in your tracks, that have you stopping and sighing audibly while your head empties of all thoughts..

Are one of the most overlooked and most powerful medicines of these times.

And they are available to us in almost every moment..

All we need to do is start to notice them.. to put ourselves in positions and in places where we can experience the beauty around us.

Every time I have packed up a ‘Winter Roses’ print this past while, I have imagined them becoming a reminder of this simple beauty for all that look upon them.. in all the homes and spaces they are travelling too.

And this makes me happy ❤️

Seriously.. I’ll never not have a bandana on hand.

I love how useful a simple square of linen can be in this multi faceted life of mine.

And when you make them beautiful artworks in themselves, their uses just growwww

Who doesn’t love a functional piece of art to further inspire the simple moments of this one wild and precious life?

2027 Connecting to the Cycles Moon Calendars will be available tomorrow night @7pm with this cycles print drop ✨

Featuring Motherwort for her support of the female reproductive cycles and her affinity with the heart.

Valerian for her support at night calming overstimulation and aiding the body to sleep.

Evening primrose as she aids in settling PMS and digestive issues AND for her nocturnal flowering habit, rapidly unfurling her petals at dusk and attracting night pollinators like the hawk moth and beetles.

And if you don’t know her already, you really must! the bandy bandy snake can only be seen at night. She stays under the soil, rocks, logs, or leaf litter during the day and emerges at night to hunt, especially after rain.
