To all our new and loyal followers, we had a few people really surprised to learn we have been in business for over 53 years so thought it would be appropriate to give a brief history about Castle Motors!

Castle Motors is a family owned and run business founded in 1972. It was built beside the old A38 and was previously a petrol filling station called Castle Garage which had been trading since the 1930s.

Roy, Graham, Stuart and Adrian Flood together with Tony Manning, changed the name and started the car sales business as Castle Motors. In recent years Dean, Dale and Lee Flood, Jon Barnfield and Ollie Goode have joined the company’s sales team, making a total workforce of over 50 employees, who are proud to have been serving the community for over 40 years.

In 1976 planning permission was granted for a larger forecourt, showroom and workshops. This coincided with the re-building of the A38 Liskeard by-pass providing better links between Devon and Cornwall.

In 1998 the main forecourt was extended to make room for more vehicles, ensuring that Castle Motors and member companies will go into the future maintaining their motto “Way above the rest”.
