WW - V - YEARSA little back story…March 2020, the world is about to enter an unprecedented world wide shut down, Matti had just moved down to Cape Town with Me and we were finally riding together on a regular basis which was awesome but Covid had other plans, so there we were, stuck indoors with no way to wakeskate… So we had the idea of going live on Matti’s instagram and chatting to wakeskaters around the globe stuck in a similar situation, we didn’t know what we were doing, but it was rad and all you awesome people out there seemed to dig it too, and ofcourse what better day to do it than on #WakeskateWednesday. We then decided to turn it into a podcast and with that start the instagram page. Our main goal from the get go was always just to push and promote wakeskating and just share the love and connect with like minded humans across the globe. Fast forward 5 years later... I’m so proud of what we have achieved, we may be humble in terms of instagram numbers but I feel like the community is stronger than ever, and always growing. I’ve made so many friends for life through wakeskating and this channel, and I can’t wait to make more! I love wakeskating with every fiber of my being and won’t stop until my last breathe. This collaboration with Heca is a dream come true for me, and I am so greatful to them for providing us with these opportunities to help push and grow the sport even further. One of my favourite tricks to do, a frontside 360, no better feeling than landing a good one. @chrisrogers filmed these two with his drone during a session with him, myself and @dylmitchell shortly after opening up the @dirtyhabitsplayground.
