postcard from Milan, 2024 #inmargin

looking back, i see that some doors did close, but they were never the end of the road. other doors were already opening somewhere beyond what i could see. my mother once asked me, “why are you underestimating what god has promised you?” and that stayed with me. because maybe the life we long for is not always handed to us whole, maybe we are given the courage, the choices, the feet to walk toward it. i never knew that the steps i took then would lead me to books i once only dreamed of reading, to landscapes i had only seen in photographs, to places where i could finally stand, breathe the air, and say, i am here. we forget how much power there is in movement, in choosing, in believing there could be more. sometimes the miracle is not a door suddenly opening. sometimes it is realizing you had the strength to keep walking until you found one. taken in Milan, Italy by @dalil4h_

$a sudden trip to Chiang Mai. I collected surfaces, walls, shadows, the weight of heat on the skin, the aftertaste of conversations that didn’t need conclusions for the first time, I missed my flight home. Fifteen minutes-enough to fracture the illusion of control that delay gave me something time rarely offers ｄｅｎｓｉｔｙ. the texture of a city that refuses urgency. the texture of another person’s inner weather, untranslated, incomplete. the texture of my own thoughts once they stopped performing efficiency. Chiang Mai didnt teach me anything new it reminded me that deviation isnt disorder, staying is sometimes more precise than leaving, meaning doesn’t arrive as narrative but as friction I’ll write this later, maybe for now, I’m keeping the textures❤️‍🔥 #chiangmytrip #inmargin #texturesofmind by @dalil4h_$
