POSTS STORIES REELS

In 2020 following a number of requests for strategies for memorising gurbani by heart, I put together some short clips to share my journey and the various strategies and tips I’ve used with my children and the children in my sangad and also on myself to help memorise gurbani by heart.

These clips can be found on the SHARE Charity @sharecharityuk YouTube Channel under a playlist called ‘Memorising Gurbani’ - please subscribe and check out the info.

Reciting Gurbani in nature, particularly next to a waters edge is an experience and one which I highly recommend (standing or seated --try it) and try it with your family/friends ….I’ve enjoyed a lifetime of this with my sangat and family and absolutely love it with a passion 💗

Let me know your thoughts, share your experiences in the comments below😄

I seem to have gained a few new followers in 2021! A warm welcome to everyone! 😄

A quick intro ...
My name is Daljit Kaur and this is my public insta account on which I share my passions and my life’s learnings as well as, my musings on life in general😉

I’m a passionate teacher of STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) and whilst I still do, some teaching….. I am a Regional Network Lead for a national organisation called STEM Learning.

I absolutely love my job which includes working with schools leaders (Primary through to FE) and working with a whole plethora of STEM related organisations including but not limited to IBM; NEXT; Rolls Royce; Jaguar Land Rover; BAE; Siemens; JCB; GSK; Boots; NHS; CEC; LEPs etc. Basically there is never a dull moment and I never seem to be able to catch my breath – that’s just how MAD and crazy my job is!

I am daughter of a pioneer who travelled the world to spread the message of Sikhism and Guru Nanak. His passion and love has washed on to me and I absolutely love meeting new people; making new friends and talking about Sikhi wherever possible. I am involved with 2 Sikh Charities and spend my free time supporting various different Sikhi based projects.

I love to travel and I love being a mum to 3 absolutely incredible kids. I have seen 2 of my 3 through to adulthood (my responsibility for those 2 is now complete 💪🏽and it is why I share some random parenting tips🤪) and have about 8years to nurture my daughter before she starts to lead her own path in life.🤓

I have been diagnosed with MS (relapsing & remitting) for over 10 years and live a very full and rewarding life. I love my sangat and I have a passion for bringing my community together.

This year I have helped launch The Khalsa Learning Hub! An exciting virtual space which brings young Sikhs and young families together to connect with Sikhi and Gurbani. This platform enables me to share all my passions together – Sikhi; STEM and Seva!

Thank you for following! 🥰

The power of supplication

I’ve spent my entire life in Guru’s sangat and in sadhsangat, it’s my home and a place where I find the most peace and contentment.

As parents we may have ambitions for our children around what we want for them and their future.

As a teacher I’ve thought long and hard about how to raise my children and the essence of what I’d like and what I should pray for.

I’ve invested a lot of money in their education and ensured they’ve enjoyed some really exceptional experiences. However, at the forefront of mind was this 1 ardas - to keep them on the path of Sikhi and for them to one day have a thirst for Amrit.

My parents never forced Sikhi on me, instead my dad ensured I fell in love with Sikhi. I chose when I was ready for amrit (16yrs old) and where I wished to take Amrit (Thakt Siri Keshgar Sahib).

When my son’s decided they were going for Amrit together I can’t begin to articulate the explosions they went off in my mind and body!!!

I was totally overwhelmed, so many emotions, so many tears of absolute joy and gratitude…….

So this post is simply to say - if you feel ready, the time is *NOW*!

Don’t delay, Guru ji is waiting for you with open arms and I for one can’t wait to embrace you on the other side after you’ve taken Amrit and to welcome you to the beginning of your remarkable journey 🙏🏽🤩🎉💥☄️

What a week. 💙

Four days of learning, laughter, sangat, seva and memories that will stay with us long after camp has finished.

From Amrit Vela to the final moments of the day, the Gurdwara was full of energy — new friendships being made, questions being asked, Sikhi being explored and a sangat growing together.

A huge thank you to every camper, parent, speaker and sevadar who gave their time, energy and love to make Sikh Inspiration Camp 2026 what it was.

Another thank you to our guest facilitators throughout the week @daljitkaur_stem @bbjgurmatvidyala @gianibhupindersinghji @ranveer5ingh @intrinsikh_arts @shaheedi_bunga_uk @jangihorseclub @devanhaar @basicsofsikhi and of course, all of the gatka akharas that took part in the Nishana Gatka Fight Night @gatkaonline.

A big shoutout to @kingmarqueesleeds and Wow Bouncey Castles for continually supporting the camp and providing quality tents, bouncey castles and furniture to make the camp a reality.

Finally, a great thank you to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji for blessing us with these priceless moments.

Take a look at some early pictures from last week.

Until next year 🙏🏼💙

What a soul-enriching evening with Bibi Daljit Kaur (UK) ✨
We’re so grateful for her warmth, wisdom, and heartfelt reminders about what it truly means to live as Kaurs.
Together, we explored the essence of sisterhood — not as small, exclusive groups, but as an inclusive spirit that embraces everyone equally.
We spoke about true leadership through Seva, and the power of fearlessness — being in awe of Vaheguru alone, not people.
An evening that left our hearts inspired and our minds grounded in Sikhi. 💛
