Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Thank You, North Texas! ⚽ Combined Effort, Historic Impact.

To the mayors, city councils, local businesses, and residents across all our area citie, it takes a village to welcome the world, but in our case, it took an entire region. Hosting an event of this magnitude requires seamless collaboration, tireless dedication, and a shared vision. We are incredibly proud of how our North Texas communities united to show the globe what true Texas hospitality looks like.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the incredible leaders, organizations, and families who stepped up to make this historic moment a reality:

🌟 Our Key Champions

The North Texas FWC Organizing Committee: Thank you for your flawless execution, endless hours of planning, and for keeping the gears turning behind the scenes. You turned a massive logistical puzzle into a masterclass in collaboration.

The Dallas Sports Commission: For being the driving engine behind our sports community and continually elevating North Texas on the global stage.

Jerry Jones & the Jones Family: Thank you for your unmatched vision, your unwavering commitment to excellence, and for opening the doors of a world-class venue to the global community. Your legacy in sports continues to push boundaries.

Dan Hunt & the Hunt Family: For your foundational roots in the beautiful game and your incredible leadership. Your passion for soccer has shaped the sports landscape of North Texas for generations, and this success is a testament to that dedication.

👑 A Very Special Thank You to Monica Paul

A monumental effort like this requires a true captain at the helm, and we found that leader in Monica Paul.

Monica, your brilliance, tenacity, and grace under pressure were the glue that held this massive undertaking together. Thank you for your visionary leadership, for bringing everyone to the table, and for tirelessly championing North Texas every single step of the way. We quite literally couldn't have done this without you.

Congratulations! by @dallascup

Dallas Stadium (AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas) takes the crown for hosting the most top-ten FIFA ranked teams during the 2026 World Cup.

26 Ballon d'Or nominees and 5 winners played in Dallas Stadium

As of today, 38 Dallas Cup alums have combined for 131 appearances in the 2026 World Cup

North Texas has firmly cemented its status as one of the premier soccer epicenters in World Cup history, beautifully bridging a legendary past with an unparalleled present.

The 1994 Foundation: Seeds of the Modern Era

Thirty-two years ago, the historic Cotton Bowl in Fair Park laid the groundwork for the modern American soccer boom. It famously hosted the unforgettable 1994 quarterfinal between Brazil and the Netherlands—a dramatic 3–2 thrill ride widely considered one of the greatest matches ever played. That tournament didn't just bring international flavor to the Lone Star State; it catalyzed the founding of Major League Soccer and the birth of FC Dallas.

The 2026 Spectacle: A Record-Breaking Stage

Fast forward to the summer of 2026, and the region has taken the global stage by storm. Anchored by the state-of-the-art Dallas Stadium in Arlington, North Texas secured a record-breaking nine matches—the most of any host city in the tournament, culminating in a blockbuster semifinal.

The tournament highlighted the region's elite infrastructure and passionate soccer culture:

The Atmosphere: The Fair Park Fan Festivals successfully reunited generations of fans, connecting veterans of '94 with a massive new wave of local youth soccer enthusiasm.

Attendance Milestones: Massive capacity crowds of 70,649 packed the stadium, helping push all-time historic tournament attendance past the 50 million total mark.

Global Acclaim: Visiting fans and international media widely praised the world-class facilities and seamless regional logistics.

With the resounding success of the 2026 tournament wrapping up, the region isn't slowing down. Local organizers are already to set their sights on hosting matches for the 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cup by @dallascup

Starting Switzerland National Team Goalkeeper, Gregor Kobel and the Carbajols

To Isabel, Rafael, and their son Rodrigo, Kobel wasn't a world-class star; he was the teenager who had slept in their guest room eleven years earlier.

During the 2015 Dallas Cup homestay draw, the U19 USSF Dallas Texans was assigned to host TSG Hoffenheim A-Junioren, the Carbajols hosted 2 players from German club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, then led by future German National Team coach Julian Nagelsmann. They welcomed defender Alexander Rossipal and a lanky, 17-year-old Gregor Kobel. For a week, the boys shared meals, shopped, and connected across cultures.

Now, with the 2026 World Cup hosted in North America, the Carbajols watches the now the 28 year old Swiss World Cup Goalkeeper who just sent his National Team into the quarterfinals.
