Getting excited for a couple of mini road-trips coming up over the next month.🤘

Really want to explore more of the Banff/Yoho area this summer as well as deeper into Crowsnest Pass and Kananaskis. While these are all areas I’ve frequented in previous years, it’s been a little bit since visiting a good handful of both the iconic, as well as some of the less touristy spots, especially in warm summer conditions.

The real question though, is what snacks to bring along for the road trip. My go-tos are always @canadianjerky and Timbits. What are your road trip must haves? 😄🌄 taken in Alberta's Rockies by @dallinn

Peaceful camping evenings are one of my favourite ways to spend summer! 🏕️😊

This year I’m planning on refining my camping cooking skills and being more adventurous with the meals made at the site. Does anyone have any good camping recipes that I should check out this summer?

Managed to capture the train under a muted sunset while out for a mountain paddle recently. 🚂 🌅

Moments like these remind me how awe inspiring this world is and how lucky we are to experience these little fragments of beauty when we take the time to go out and seek them. 🤘

Morning light in Arches National Park, Utah 🤟

Can’t believe it’s been 3 years since my road trip through the western United States. I’ve finally been looking at the content I shot on the trip and have been enjoying looking back at the adventures and editing some of the photos.

When I was 8 my family moved to Utah for 7 years, before we moved back to Canada. That trip was the first time I had been back myself, with the main purpose of the trip being hiking, camping, and photography. I can’t wait to get down there again on another road trip, hopefully next year🤞

Instead of a northern lights shot, I figured I’d share a photo of the Big Dipper that I captured recently. 🔭

Did you know that its brightest star is 102 times brighter than the sun? Another fun fact is that its stars ‘Mizar’ and ‘Alcor’ form a double star, the first such star to be discovered. ✨ taken in Space by @dallinn

Moraine Lake is one of my favourite places to visit in the Canadian Rockies 🏔️🇨🇦

The lakes iconic colour is due to glacier runoff which deposits rock flour into the water. The rock flour remains suspended in the water which causes light to scatter (particularly blue and green wavelengths) producing the unique, vibrant colour.

You can visit Moraine Lake by bus (such as @morainelakebus ) or by bike as the road is closed to vehicle traffic. If you’ve never visited the lake, I highly recommend adding it to your list! 🗺️ taken in Moraine Lake by @dallinn
