On June 1st (Happy Pride 🏳️‍🌈) we made it to Everest Base Camp!! 🎉🎉🎉
Words can not express how thankful I am for this opportunity! We made it to our goal after 8 long and hard trekking days. WOW! 😎🥾🏔️

It took us 3 long trekking days to get back down to Lukla airport. All in all, we trekked 95 miles over 11 days, with a starting elevation of 8k ft. and a top elevation of 18k ft. HUGE thank you to our wonderful guides, @pursho.tam and Sara as well as our incredible porters! They deserve all the praise in the world! Could not have done this without them! 👏🙌

Today we are scheduled to fly back to Kathmandu to enjoy a nice rooftop bar and some much needed relaxation! 🎉🥳🍻

Happy 3 years of marriage @kcflynn44! Relationships take work, patience, and a deep comprehension of one another’s needs and I am honored to grow and learn together forever. 💍❤️👬

With at least 9 states threatening marriage equality so far, this year’s anniversary will be celebrated and cherished with an abundance of gratitude for the love that we share and the marriage that we hold sacred. We know how blessed we are to love one another and to be able to walk this life side by side. We will continue this fight so future generations of children will no longer have to worry about the validity and sacredness of the way they love. by @daltongraham

Our final stops: Kagoshima, Ibusuki, and then back to Tokyo.

1. When you hear rumors of a dinosaur park on an island with an active volcano, you go on an elaborate adventure (in our case, a climb) to find it! 😂🦖🦕 @l.a._livinglife

2. Always soak your feet in a natural hot spring after your adventures.

3. If you have the opportunity to bury yourself up to your neck in sand heated by a volcano, DO IT!

4. If you’re in Tokyo on National Women’s Day, go support the Women’s March!

5. Go stumble along the intersection with the most pedestrian traffic in the world. Shibuya
Crossing.

6. Disney and Nintendo….. that is all. 😍

Hiroshima and MIYAJIMA National Park (Last pictured, Osaka Castle)

I have been working on being more present and mindful as I navigate life, embracing each moment for what it has to teach me. Being present in Hiroshima meant confronting fear, disgust, pain, and profound sorrow. But it also meant witnessing resilience, hope, and the power of knowledge. One of the most impactful moments of our trip was meeting Mr. Mito (Kosei), an A-bomb survivor turned fierce advocate against nuclear warfare. His stories carried not just history, but a powerful reminder: to build a better future, we must fully acknowledge and absorb the darkest chapters of our past. Only by facing these truths can we ensure that history’s most painful lessons are not repeated, but transformed into a force for peace and change.

We also took a ferry to MIYAJIMA National Park and absolutely fell in love with the beautiful landscape, cultural shrines, and the friendly bowing deer. (Really they just wanted our food) taken in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park by @daltongraham

Kawachinagano, Osaka Prefecture, Japan

A traditional Japanese Ryokan. This came with a 24 hour hot spring, an 11 course Japanese dinner (food pictures to come), beautiful gardens to walk through, and Yukatas for each of us to wear during our stay.
