As well as Minke Whales, Dolphins, Seals, a breaching Thresher Shark, Puffins, other birds I can't spell and many other things, I did get to see a jellyfish or two with @baskingsharkscotland by @dam_selph

I will have sand in my shoes for a very long time.
Thank you everyone who didn't unadd me during all the Barrel Jelly spam.
1- Trying to be artsy with shells
2-3 Barrel Jelly
4- A rare 6 ringed Moon Jelly
5- Dead things
6- 'Ripley' the injured Barrel Jelly. I met her 3 times and saw her survive getting beached before eventually finding her dead on the sand
7- A particularly massive Barrel Jelly

People may find this creature repulsive, but look at the gorgeous Barrel Jelly it's holding ✨️
(Obviously dead, don't lift stuff out of the water)

2- My first snorkel with a Barrel Jelly in 9 years!! And this was one that was rescued from getting beached, so extra special.

3- A rebellious 'Blue Jelly' that wasn't blue

4- One of several bucketfuls of Moon Jellies (very poor handling in that vid because they were being hurriedly relocated, but they weren't there for long)

5- Blue/Moon, because today was a once in a blue moon kinda day by @dam_selph

As I took these photos in Oban harbour I heard a Scottish vlogger say to his GoPro "Check thus guy gettin reel cloos to a jehllafesch, he's not fooken scurrrd of enathang!"

Lion's Mane Jellyfish are common as kilts in Scotland, so it's pathetic that it's taken me 3 trips here to swim with one (they only turn up in places I'm not meant to swim). I love their ability to morph from a horrifyingly huge heap of tentacles to what looks like a small pillowcase stuffed with spag bol. Why are you so scary and then SO CUTE?? Ridiculous animal.

After zero sleep (a snoring Scotsman kept the whole dorm up), I crept into the sea at dawn and found what still feels like a dream- a cloud of jellies, like a colourful crew of anime superheroes chilling in the harbour. I stayed 'til I was too cold to hold my camera and left shivering, laughing, crying, and feeling like I'd won the marine life equivalent of a golden ticket.

1 - Bluefire Jellies, Cyanea lamarckii
2- Lion's Mane, Cyanea capillata
3- Shaking from cold and jellation
4- A Bluefire I saw a few times over the week in the same bay and nicknamed "Rapunzel" for her long braid of tentacles-probs from where she'd snagged them on something and been unable to reel them back in. by @dam_selph
