WOW! What an incredible book. I was not sure with my hearing issues if I could do the whole book on audible, but I am so glad I did. This trip lives in my memory. I have been home for 10 days and sick as a dog for the past 5, but my mind, my heart and my soul wants to be back with my friends sailing the Aegean Sea’s through the Cyclades dining on delicious food and sipping crisp white wine… all while laughing all day long. A trip of a lifetime. #greece by @damascus71

Today, tomorrow and everyday after will be different as there’s a giant hole in my life and in my heart. My mother-in-law, Molly, passed away last night. We had been living with her for the past seven weeks and had planned to have a spectacular summer with her while we looked for a new home. Sadly, her health took a dramatic decline due to an aggressive cancer 3 weeks ago - we are all still shocked at the speed with which our beautiful, adventurous, spirited, loving Molly is gone. I was closer to Molly than I was my own mother and I spent a lot of time with her. We traveled with her a lot, we went to church with her, to parties & concerts and had 1000’s of dinners together over the past 29 years. She partially raised me as a young mom/woman. She gave me a lot of advice when I asked or unsolicited (she was famous for that and right often). She was tough on me at times, and her delivery might have been rough or my skin a little thin, but I always knew her intentions were good. She would laugh with me, debate me anytime on the topic of mustard, eggs, whether you rinse dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, and that her son, David, was perfect - I will miss those. But mostly, I will miss the lady who taught us all so much by example, by her wisdom and by the grace she showed others. She was an impressive woman who had a calm, albeit an independent voice. She was an incredible Photographer, a Sea plane pilot, a skier & snowboarder and an avid hiker who could tell you what hike had what flowers blooming where at any time in the Pacific Northwest. Her mind was very sharp, even near the end. She had an incredible education and was an avid reader of books on history, fiction, biographies, health, spirituality, and self-help. She never stopped wanting to learn about anything - even into her 70s and 80s she taught herself Spanish and the piano. She believed in all the Wiccan, woo woo stuff I do and was doing things EFT tapping and using holistic medicine and naturopathic medicine 40 years ago. I love you, dear Molly! Thank you for everything you did for all of us. ♥️ The flowers only opened yesterday afternoon after weeks…just for her. by @damascus71

To our beloved Hugo, what an honor it was to love you for 16 years ♥️ and we are forever grateful you loved us back ten fold. You will always be with us in our hearts, in our minds and a part of our family. Today we drove you with the windows down and the sun on your face for one last time, as always, you loved it. Wherever you are, I know you are sitting on a beach with the wind in your face & the sun warming your fur, as it should be.
