Well, this is a little surreal. We’re in Vogue France! 🇫🇷

Our wedding was always going to be a little unconventional.

From a chartreuse taffeta dress, to metres and metres of pink draping, rubber ducks in the fountain, personalised everything, and all the tiny details in between. We wanted to create a world that felt completely and unmistakably ours, intimate, joyful and just a little surreal. To now see that world captured in Vogue France feels incredibly special.

It also feels like the perfect way to introduce Lee Matthews Bridal Studio. Born from the belief that a wedding can be approached in the same way as a collection: with a point of view, a story, and every detail considered as part of the whole.

Thank you to our wonderful team who helped bring it all to life, and especially to @luke_j_bell for capturing it so beautifully.

And the biggest thank you to my husband @damienbeardcombe. For trusting me when I said “I have an idea…” approximately 4,000 times, and for making every day the best day of my life. 🫶

Istanbul… A city of incredible history, a sweet tooth’s dream, a drinker’s nightmare and a pescatarian’s hell. Still, every corner surprised us.

The honeymoon continues…

Stop #2: Greece. And round two for us in this incredible country.

Highlights? Easy…
Octopus that we’ll be dreaming about for years.
1L carafes of house wine (because one glass is never enough).
Beach clubs.
ATV adventures with my favourite person @leepmatthews

If we’re comparing this trip, Spain just edges it for us… but Greece still has our hearts.

Next stop: Turkey. 🇹🇷

After the wedding of the century came the honeymoon of a lifetime. ❤️🇪🇸

Spain completely stole our hearts.

The food. The people. The culture. Every street, every meal, every glass of wine reminded us why we love to travel.

But the best part of it all was experiencing it with my favourite person in the world… my wife. ❤️

Today I hit 2000 @f45_training sessions! 💥

7 years, thousands of burpees and plenty of sweat — it’s been one incredible journey. What started as a fitness challenge has turned into something so much bigger. 🫶
I’m so grateful for what F45 has given me — confidence, discipline, balance but most importantly, an incredible community of friends.
Huge thanks to everyone who joined me today to celebrate this milestone and to the amazing team @f45_training_woolloomooloo for all the support. 🫶🫶

Today marks the end of an unforgettable chapter. After 7 years and over 1,622 sessions, I’ve completed my final class at F45 Glebe.

When I first stepped into the studio in 2018 I was overweight, unsure of myself, and had no idea how to navigate a gym. But from day one the trainers were incredibly supportive, motivating me every step of the way. Very quickly F45 became such a huge part of my life—I trained almost every day and pushed myself to new limits.

Beyond the workouts, it was the incredible community and friendships I made that truly made this gym so special. To the trainers and everyone I’ve trained alongside, thank you for inspiring me to reach goals I never thought possible.

A massive shoutout to the OG crew @hey.doza @coached.by.connor @sophiemontgomery_ for building an awesome gym and amazing community, Connor Hamilton who took the time and believed in me at the beginning and the incredible trainers who have pushed me and supported me over the years @nico.m08 @cpthecb @aga_bak03 @cl.training__

F45 Glebe didn’t just transform my fitness, it changed my life. I’ll always be grateful for the journey and the memories.

And that’s a wrap on 2024! 🎉

What a year—packed with everything: highs, lows, and everything in between! 💥 From stepping into a new role at work, saying a heartfelt goodbye to our beloved furry friend Norman🐾, to welcoming a new four-legged cutie into the family Wilma 🐶. Add in epic travels, endless fitness sessions and unforgettable memories with friends, family, and, of course, my favourite person @leepmatthews 💍.

2024 brought its share of challenges, but also incredible rewards and adventures. Here’s to 2025—bring it on! 💪✨ by @damienbeardcombe
