One year ago today I brought home 19 year old Duchess after meeting her on 4th October after donating my Lumens food to her. I was asked “would you like to meet her?”. I would say I wasn’t really ready to get another cat companion after loosing Lumen but when I visited her she took her chance. I was told she’d been there 3 months with no interest, that due to her age no one even looked at her, they walked straight past. Duchess took her first and only chance and pounced on it, showering me with love on our first meet (Pic 1). A week later, she was in her new home (Pic 2). A year later she is still giving me constant love & cuddles on the sofa. Her fav time. Happy one year anniversary Duchy Pie. ❤️ #cat #catlover #cats_of_instagram #rehome #adoptdontshop @catsprotectionleeds by @dammers1981

Duchess always wants to be with me. I adopted her at 18yrs old nearly a year ago now, but we bonded like she’s been mine much longer. She gets as close to my face as she can, but often slides down my chest 😻 so loving! #cat #catlife #catlovers #cats_of_instagram #adoptdontshop @catsprotectionleeds by @dammers1981

Went to #pisa wrecked havoc by pushing over their most famous landmark “The Tower”, it will now need to be renamed “The leaning tower of Pisa” 🤷🏻‍♀️ #pisatower #leaningtowerofpisa #holidays #pisaitaly by @dammers1981

Came upstairs for a quiet lie down. However Duchess had other plans. She said we should stick together 🤣 @catsprotectionleeds #catlife #catlovers #cats_of_instagram #lovecats by @dammers1981
