Grateful to have brought my own touch to the “Make You Cry” @zentonedub music video 🎬✨
Directed by @sarah_t_films & @davidmontcher .
Thank you @zentonedub / @jarringeffects for trusting me with the edit and for giving me complete creative freedom. Because of that, I was able to fully embrace your vision and shape the emotion carried in every frame 🙏🎥
Special thanks as well to @themonsieurmo . Even from afar, he thinks of me for projects that resonate with my sensitivity, especially when the story carries something deep and powerful 🤍
Peace & love ✌🏽❤️

One year ago, on November 15, 2024, "Sinh Tố 7" by @nodeynguyen feat. @naomiroestel was released 🎉🎶

When Nodey reached out to me in March 2024 to make a video for this track, he had the clip Casino by Disiz as a reference 🎬. We also discussed other references, but he mainly wanted this video to be different, polished, and beautiful, compared to the other Sinh Tố ✨

I naturally asked @tony_truong_bao to work on it as producer 🎥.
At first, we looked for locations in Saigon, then on the coast like Vung Tau, but we finally decided to shoot in Tây Ninh, a place Tony knows well 🌴. He scouted locations, shared possible spots for filming, and we approved ✅

During the shoot in mid-May 2024, we only had two half-days to film ⏱️. Since I didn’t know the locations, we had to be reactive and quickly figure out what would work to capture beautiful images 🎞️. It all happened naturally 😊
Naomi and Nodey were easy to direct, and we shot this little clip like we were on a weekend trip with friends 🏖️! No pressure, just creating beautiful images and having a great time 😎. I think you can feel it in the video 💛

I’m posting this along with the reel to celebrate the first anniversary of Sinh Tố 7, which I’m really proud of 🥳

I want to thank Tony first and foremost for his help with scouting and organizing this weekend shoot 🙏

Thanks to Naomi, who was easy to direct and brought such a beautiful sensitivity to the visuals 🌟

And thanks to Nodey, who trusts me so much to create images and edits that reflect him 🎬💯. I’m truly grateful for that. You’ve never hesitated to reach out, and it means a lot to me! It honestly touches me ❤️

All of this to wish a happy anniversary to this project, released exactly one year ago today 🎂

Peace ✌️
