@dan__presland talks about the importance of knowing your worth as a professional drummer, setting fair rates, and not selling yourself short.

From years of perfecting your craft to delivering professional-quality recordings, your time and skills have value. Dan shares how learning to charge what his work was worth actually made recording more enjoyable, and why undercharging can hurt the industry as a whole.

🥁 From his drum clinic with Amarin Productions.

@dan__presland shares some valuable insight from his drum clinic with Amarin Productions about the importance of maintaining a positive attitude, staying humble, and being someone others genuinely enjoy working with.

At the end of the day, your technical abilities might open doors, but your character, attitude, and how you treat others are what keep those doors open.

It’s not just about how good you are at what you do, but how good you are to the people around you.

A powerful reminder that being a great musician goes far beyond the instrument. 🥁

How do you lock in behind the kit?

In this clip, @dan__presland talks about the reference points he uses to stay balanced behind the drums, and why having everything feel locked in is so important to his playing.

He also gets into his transition between pedal companies and how those changes affected his setup and approach.

A clip from our clinic with Dan Presland of Ne Obliviscaris, talking about something every touring drummer eventually deals with: playing through fatigue and keeping it together when your body isn’t cooperating.

Sometimes it’s about knowing when to stretch, reset, stay calm, and get through the set. The show still has to go on.
