The Scout is out tomorrow 📸. I did the m*sic. It was just named a NY Times Critic’s Pick. ✨Tonight it opens at @filmforumnyc, a theatre that, as a teenager, I was literally too intimidated to go to. Now I stand outside and beg strangers to take pictures of me.

Some other facts. @p.a.gn is a great, smart filmmaker from whom I have learned a lot and supplementing her uniquely austere vision was a joy. Thanks for inexplicably trusting me to do so. As producer @ryanmartinbrown fought our creative decisions every step of the way and was overall detrimental to the project (made it happen).

As with all things he works on, @umareyougonnafinishthat , who engineered, mixed and played on it, the true MVP. Thanks for (still) saying yes to things I ask you to do.

Informed by my background in music, I approached this piece less as a sequence of images than as a study in acoustics.

Just a mere taste of @stavvybaby2 ‘s The Dreamboat Tour: The Documentary, a 7 part tour doc series I helped produce out every wednes on Stav’s YT around the release of Uncle Stav on Netflix Sept 8th. Ep 3 drops today, which I edited and wrote. At 35 mins it’s the longest of the bunch, thus perhaps the dumbest.

About halfway through the series now with 4 more to go. Check em out every wednes. by @dan_arnes

It’s tour time baby. @stavvybaby2 ‘s The Dreamboat Tour: The Documentary, a 7 part series I produced, as well as edited and wrote on, drops its first episode today. New eps weekly. 🛣️🚍🤠

The definitive document of nearly 2 epic years (!) of touring: the theaters, clubs, dick jokes, kush, bus hot boxing, bargain DVDs, back pain, 5000mg Canadian edibles and special-delaying lime scooter induced arm breaks culminating in the grand finale, the epic behind the scenes highs and lows of the Matt Johnson directed Netflix special taping just last month 🤯 🐦‍⬛

Grateful to be a part of the incredible edit team for @soulpatrolfilm at Sundance 2026. Thanks to my brother the gr8 @_byronleon , quickly becoming one of the best editors in the game, and ofc our capt, my guy @jmharper 🫡, winner of the directing award: US documentary 🙏🏾🎊🏆, a true inspo from whom I have learned a lot, thank you both for having me as part of this incredible, ambitious and truly beaut film. These two are maybe the hardest working ppl I’ve ever been around let alone worked with. Lucky to be in the room early witnessing you both work out the shape of this story, seeing this go from index cards on the wall to this grand cinematic film was surreal. Congrats to fellow edit squad @niles.tv , Nina Vallado, @dustinwaldman , prods @danimmassie and the gr8 @mpallman , the best @vanessaharper and @stellaguggenheim , the folks at @parkpictures and @concordiastudio . And of course, Hello to all the lovely new pals I met at park city, pictured here in various states of disarray. Big love to my buds @iamphilipt & @victorartesona , of whom I am very proud, and @kiaroscuroo @austincassel, glad to have spent this with you all. Oh what a night. 📽️ Big thanks to the gr8 @nonfilms, @lejazznik & my new pals at @filmcoop for hosting me and thee @epgundel ‘s live score to Hollis Frampton’s “Artificial Light” on gorgeous 16mm 🎞️. Doing something like this with celluloid is a rare opportunity and it was a long time coming to finally make it happen. Huge thanks to everyone who came out to this special night (not including FOMO stricken NYC based filmmaker Jim Jarmusch). When they sleepin on u, tuck them in. The Scout premieres tonight at @tribeca.

Overwhelmed and eternally grateful to my pal and collaborator, director/ writer Paula Andrea Gonzalez Nasser (@5thfloorpictures ) for trusting me to be composer on her beaut feature film debut, also my first as a composer on a feature. Was a treat figuring this out with someone who uses m*sic so intelligently and sparsely. Flattered and honored to be a part of it. I was recently reminded of trying to sneak into Tribeca screenings as a preteen with my older brother and it’s the only film fest my folks know, so this is a dream come true.

Hugely inspired by the hustle, know-how and the “F it let’s do it” attitude of PAGN, RMB, and the gang. Seeing you all do a daunting thing that feels impossible has been a big reason I plow forward as a filmmaker, so thanks.

Big huge thanks to my OG collaborator the legendary, longtime pal Julian Fader (@umareyougonnafinishthat ) for playing drums, engineering, and mixing, best in the biz, and ofc the incredible RMB (@ryanmartinbrown ) for coordinating and the gr8 edit along w/ da edit gawd @_byronleon . Huge congrats to the laundry list of talented smart ppl who worked on the film both behind and in front of the 🎥 and on the PR end. Thanks to all my pals / loved ones for your support and congrats. ❤️ Truly appreciate it. The whole making stuff with your friends thing, I get it.
