The most powerful women in the room are the ones who remind other women they belong there. ✨

Hay algo muy especial en encontrar a otras mujeres con las que puedes aprender, crecer y construir lado a lado. Sin competir por un lugar, sino recordándonos mutuamente que hay espacio para ambas.

Porque a veces la confianza llega más fácil cuando alguien que está caminando el mismo camino te mira y te dice: “sí, aquí pertenecemos.” 💛

I’ve had the privilege of attending meetings, courses, conferences, rotations, and spending hours in the OR across the shoulder world.

More importantly, I’ve been fortunate to learn from some of the people who have shaped modern shoulder surgery.

What surprised me most is that the biggest lessons rarely came from the podium, the papers, or the latest guidelines.
They came from conversations.
 From shared dinners.
 From time well spent.
 From watching how great surgeons treat their patients, their colleagues, their families, and the next generation.

The lessons I remember most have very little to do with surgery, and everything to do with the kind of surgeon I hope to become.

So instead of sharing techniques, procedures, or publications, I wanted to share a few lessons from the people behind them.
