WE RELEASED AN ALBUM 💿 ✨

Over the past 12 months, @ross_laidlaw_ & I went all in with Permission to Dance, turning our focus to operating fully as a music label over events.

In that time, we’ve accumulated nearly 650,000 streams across all platforms. We’ve had two tracks trending on Soundcloud at the same time, some of our favourite DJs spinning our music on some of the biggest festival stages in the world, and more importantly - we’ve had a lot of fun doing it.

Over 50% of the tracks we’ve released have been from Aussie producers, and looking at the stats I think our following is heading in a similar direction. And so that’s where the idea of the compilation came from - to put some of our favourite rising Australian producers all in one album, to showcase their talent but also as a way of saying thank you to the Australian music scene for the support while still in the early stages of establishing the label.

This has quite easily been the biggest project I have ever worked on. Over 6 months of trying to collect the perfect tracks for the vision, several meetings with the rest of the team about the campaign ideas, and reaching out to various brands, event spaces, radio shows and more to try and maximise our outreach. Amongst many, we’ve even had artists of the calibre of Tiesto downloading some of our tracks - which in itself is completely mind blowing.

Moving forward, PTD is going to be moving full steam ahead and I’m excited to see where the music will take us, but regardless of what happens, it has introduced me to so many people that I now regard as friends.

The full album has today come out on all streaming platforms, and any support you guys feel like showing would be greatly appreciated.

We have a limited run of vinyls remaining for anyone who collects them - the team really smashed the artwork so a massive shoutout to the rest of the designers @felix.pearson @georgejackson99 who truly brought the vision to life.

Special mention to @jessieenicholl who has taken the label to another level, and also put up with me playing the tracks on a loop for the last 6 months 🫠
