In these fallen months, I've now pondered what'd I do, and gaze into the very now I was unsure about envisioning. Growth, that endless growth, that has led me in my 20s. Through desire, anger, love, joy, and awe, I venture another year towards doing. It hasn't been the easiest year, but it has been very much the most exciting for me.

/memories: Many moments are remembered with friends. That trip to NY, Odunde festival, that time I almost drowned, that Earl Sweatshirt concert, little photoshoots. Every little detail a puzzle piece of my growth.

/physical media: Has grounded me for some time. I can hear every creek and BPM, and has led me to be grateful of the things we can feel and do.

/art: Is life, and therefore an emphasis of culture. It is my spirit, and has thus pushed me into deeper reaches of sureness and uncertainty, of comparison and denial, of longing and forgetfulness. Clothing had become a new thing for me.

Thus, I've become appreciative of all the people I met and talked to this year, of all of the moments and appreciation. Of long and shortcomings, goals and failures. This is me, going into 22.

Often a critical essence of my very offliction,
I been wonderin if enough time was given,
To help me grow through it all,
I have it all, but my heart falls,
I sprout out seeds of wisdom abroad,
A mind warped in cause,
And a humbleness aloft,
But I'm a tortured poet,
Seeking an essence of freedom,
I feel like I rise, but fall,
I crave an energy, but look for a ball,
Of silence to still my mind,
But it's been hard most of all,
To steady my levies,

Of courage and love,

Jah The Ruler (A Bday Piece for @vibesvangoe ), 2026
Mediums: Pens (Microns, Stabilo), colored pencils

You probably wondered where I've been at, and my answer to that is that I've been working on this bday piece for my dear friend @vibesvangoe

Usually, I'm working on a digital piece, but I'm always training my hand and eye using traditional mediums and forms. It's where my craft started, and it's where I often go back to regardless of what project I'm working on. This piece took a bit longer than expected, but I am happy with the results. Inkwork is something I'm especially fond of, especially when it comes to crosshatching and perspective. Also inspired by the likes of Moebius, @kimjunggius Frank Frazetta, and @billsienkiewiczart , I'm always trying to experiment with form when I can.

This piece was a breather from me, after working on so many projects throughout college. It was a breather for fun, and most of all, experimentation.

S/o Cowboy Bebop, AOT, and If Trojan Horse Was A Unicorn for getting me through this process lollll.
