Surgery is happening as I write this.

We couldn't have imagined he would be here getting another kidney transplant a year ago.

He was fighting back tears as they poked and poked for an IV.

He was fighting back tears because he knows what is coming with pain and recovery.

He also knows he can do this.💪🏼

He looks forward to less limitations from being on dialysis and in kidney failure.

He will miss so many of the bonds created at dialysis centers. I promised we would visit.

Getting a new kidney is a good thing! Getting a new kidney will change his life! Thank you to the living donors out there! Thank you for your life changing gift!

8-8-25 He couldn't pee that night. We went to the emergency room ASAP.
8-9 Life Flight to Mayo, Tests
8-10 line placements, 1st one not a good placement, 2nd not a good place and temporary but necessary to get him back on dialysis.

His new kidney shifted and he lost blood flow to it. The new kidney transplant no longer works. He has an infection.

We're currently in the ICU.

Please pray for good outcomes for Preston. Pray for our family.

5 things to know me better:

1) My son had a heart transplant when he was just under 2 months old. We have had a curvy road journey with smooth sections and many bumps and mountains. Stay tuned for more as we are in a steep climb with small plateaus at the moment.

2) My daughter is our light. She is her brother's best buddy and support. She is always working to improve herself spiritually, emotionally and mentally. She loves helping others, teaches piano with a full client list of 18 students, and is a professional English tutor with a love of writing and plans to be published. She has an old soul and a heart of gold.

3) My destiny calls me to help and care for others. My passion is learning, improving, and living my best life with natural, convenient, no compromise solutions and helping others do the same.
Did you know I have loved researching and utilizing natural ways to help our bodies for more than 30 years?
My vision includes a global team of inspired individuals helping others feel better, be better, look better, and enriching others physically, mentally, and financially.

4) I love to try new things and be adventurous. That may be in food, cooking, exploring stores, or the outdoors.
I enjoy traveling. Did you know I haven't traveled outside of the U.S. minus a small part of Canada? Yet.

5) Yes, I am married to my rock, my confidant, my partner. I couldn't get through this journey without him.

Take a moment to pause.

Think of the people you know who have fought through some incredibly hard times.

Whoever just came to your mind—this is your sign. Reach out to them. Pray for them.

Sometimes the hardest battles are the ones we already survived, but are still quietly healing from.
Don't let them feel forgotten.

How often do we truly check in with people we care about?

Those who see us beyond the surface and our words are priceless.

How often do we contact people we know may be struggling?

The simple question, "How are you, really?" can mean the world to someone who is working to hold it together.

Today was supposed to be a celebration. A year ago, we were fueled by hope, anticipation, and the promise of a "better life."

Instead, it’s a day of mourning.

We are reeling from the loss of a new chance and a new kidney. We are still navigating the trauma of what was supposed to be, versus what is now. Today symbolizes a version of hope that is gone—but it isn’t the end.

Now, we look forward with a different kind of strength and resilience from yet another challenge overcome, plus a focus on the next step. We continue traveling to Mayo Clinic regularly for his heart transplant care and another spot on the kidney tranplant list.
Whether it’s a prayer, a share, or a donation to our GoFundMe—it all matters.

Has it been a bed of roses red? Occasionally
Have we had cause to be blue? Definitely
Have we experienced mountains high and low river beds? Absolutely
Our love it true.
Through it all, it's always you.

Love isn't always easy, full of joy, or "perfect."
Love is balance and supporting each other.

Keep moving forward.

Move your body, even when you don't feel like it.

Enjoy a nice day and some sunshine together.

Preston has been feeling really low energy and he's having issues with low protein levels, among other things. We are working to treat him and help him to improve. While he doesn't want to exercise and move as much, we are working on moving his body to help circulation and keep him strong.

No excuses.
