[ fri 17 jul 2026 ] june was brimming with celebration and joy, all the storytelling and story-making, the togetherness and unwavering spirit, its honestly so special. i couldn’t be more proud of all that lgbtqia communities have accomplished, and all that we continue to embark upon in the name of equality for all. it is so incredibly easy to love, and we do it well.

[ thurs jun 16 2026 ] it was the most epic of weddings that included a dazzling and beloved pair of brides, an incredibly charming officiant, a sensationally dressed guest list, and a whole lot of love. can we do this again? rachel and jane, congratulations! ❤️ there are so many people i didn’t get a chance to capture, but for those i did, the fujifilm worked its magic. 📸 taken in Lodge Room Highland Park by @dana.darling

sun 22 mar 2026 // my family is always on my mind and i miss them every day. during my visit last august it was perfect timing to see my eldest niece off to her first year of college, and i observed my youngest niece taking the driver’s seat! i am infinitely proud of them both for the people they are and who they are becoming. we all live in different areas with a variety of schedules therefore i find it special when we can converge for some quality time. i describe minnesota summers like stepping into the film “snow white”, and this audio aptly portrays the sounds of a day in the life. we hiked and witnessed many many lake views and soothing sunsets. we joined for meals and celebrated a birthday and shopped. pianos and french horns were played, breads were baked from scratch. we had laughter and we had tears. i love them. taken in State of Minnesota by @dana.darling

sun 1 feb 2026 // fun fact: i take approx. 10,000 photos per year. capturing life is one of my most beloved activities. i search through my photos every day to relive moments. my albums represent a visual calendar for me to track the order of things. in between all i am doing to fight and support and advocate and serve, i am also seeking/creating joy and peace. this is a critical part of resistance, and for me in this particular space, there is joy in sharing tidbits from my camera roll. taken in Portugal by @dana.darling

2025 completed books // i set out to read 60 books last year, prioritizing BIPOC and queer authors and stories, with a few nonfiction titles woven in. reading is a joy for me, but this goal is laborious - it’s not always about being entertained, but to seek new perspectives and allow time to consider the content i am consuming. finishing this list while juggling all my interests and responsibilities wasn’t easy, which makes crossing the line that much sweeter! 💫📚💫 taken in Los Angeles, California by @dana.darling

i’ve been doing a little dilly dallying (ie life) therefore per usj i am behind on sharing the bits and bobs. but after an immense/typical amount of indecision over this and that i have finally rounded up a handful of moments from july, a most cancerian time of year when we are called to reflect inward, nurture self, to be in the world just as we are, find home in the heart, and to fortify our emotional safety. since it was my birth month + fran’s and my 2 yr anniversary (cuuuute), celebrations were abundant with the good people in my life. i am fortunate for all the good people. ❤️ taken in Hollywood by @dana.darling
