💔 My heart is broken.

When I was 18, I lost my dad, the love of my life. My Uncle Joe stepped in and, in so many ways, filled those shoes. He became **Poppy Joe** to my girls and always told me I was the daughter he never had.

Over the years, we shared so many visits, conversations, laughs, and those little check-in moments I treasured more than I realized.

Just about a week ago, I told him the girls and I were coming to visit soon. I never imagined that would be a visit we wouldn’t get to make.

I don’t know how to fill the space he leaves behind.

Uncle Joe, thank you for loving me like a daughter and my girls like your own. You were so much more than an uncle. You were family, a father figure, and Poppy Joe.

You will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and incredibly missed. ❤️

Please keep my family in your prayers. 🙏🏽

New Orleans Family Reunion Photo Dump ❤️⚜️

What an incredible 4 days! We kicked it off with a family meet-and-greet on Juneteenth, followed by a Mardi Gras Day Party and then a Kinfolk Kickback seafood boil. We’ll wrap up it up with beignets and coffee.

This reunion exceeded every expectation. A special thank you to our amazing host, Terri Abrams for bringing us all together and making this weekend so special.
