Danajha Shawna Davis is an Artist, Healer, Lover, and Walking Portal. 🪞

Birthed from the sweet waters of Brooklyn, New York. She is the daughter of three generations of single mothers. Women, the Womb, and the Divine Feminine are central themes to the work she does and the energy she exudes.

With roots in storytelling, performance art, and community care, she brings Childlike Joy and an activated Heart Chakra to everything she touches.

Danajha’s commitment to unmasking the hidden truths that keep us separate from ourselves, our intuition, and Spirit has led her into sacred union with her life’s purpose and gifts. With over 7 years of experience working within holistic healing & wellness spaces, she intentionally serves those around her.

Through daily devotionals, rituals, and embodied communication, she is able to receive ancient wisdom from the other side; translate it, and pour it back into the collective consciousness. A bridge in this lifetime, she is a shapeshifter, often seen floating between dimensions.

Her ancestors’ greatest prayer; alchemized, blessed, and crowned.

A natural space holder, Danajha is in her final semester at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where she is earning her Master’s Degree in Somatic Psychology. She is currently interning at Blue Skies Mental Wellness Team, where she offers perinatal mental health therapy to BIPOC birthing people.

When she is not studying, daydreaming, or portal hopping—she enjoys writing poetry and letters to loved ones, taking warm bubble baths, and belly dancing on Venus Days.

What does it mean to slow down and feel into your body; breathe deep into your lungs and release all that you’ve been carrying in your heart? 🫀

There is so much unease, so much to grieve
Prayers to the ancestars who’s lives have been tragically taken away
Prayers to those who are currently experiencing genocide
Prayers to those who are suffering
s i l e n t l y

What does it mean to have a digital platform during these times? What does it mean to birth something when everything around you is dying? It means acknowledging and integrating the “both and”. It means not shying away from the truth. It means studying the past and tapping into ancestral wisdom; knowing that herstory often repeats itself. It means learning how to lean in and sit with.

It is authentic embodied listening.

From the depths of my heart, I share this offering. With the intention that it can be of support. May at least one person feel a bit more connected to the cosmic stardust that is you.

One thing I adore about this experience called life is that the Universe/God will always deliver in divine timing 🕊️🌀💫

The more that I take the time to step back and observe myself in relation to my hopes, dreams, and desires; the louder the truth becomes that I receive when eye am ready. What does it mean to be in a receiving state?
For me it:

looks like slow deep breaths into my chest, lungs, and womb

feels like being in connection with my back body

sounds like harps, handpan drums, and Angel frequencies

smells like cinnamon, roses, with a dash of pepper 🌹

tastes like the flavor notes of a meal lingering on my tongue just before swallowing

I was first introduced to the concept of what it means to hold onto the vision from the very wise and beautiful Queen Afua. To remain committed to the process and the knowing that the initial idea/dream/vision will crystallize 🦋 in Divine time—no matter how long it takes.

I’m sitting with this question of “does it matter if I’m alive to witness the dream manifest in its final form?” Or is it simply enough to know that I played my part in keeping the vision alive. Because collective dreams and ancestral dreams are just as sacred.

So yes, even though I too at times get weary and impatient of the how + when, I come back to my trust in the Divine orchestration of it all ⛲️

Lately I’ve been thinking about my relationship to ceremony. How the word and what it means to me is active and online in many ways at this time.

How I’m holding the intention that therapy can be ceremonial, with my perinatal mental health clients. How I’m crafting questions, curiosities, and points of interests that I want to deepen into for my thesis; which will be on the topic of “therapy as ceremony”. How I’m slowly and intentionally building out my womb steam ceremony business. How my three year initiation of attending grad school is coming to a close, and just as one prepares themselves to enter into a ceremonial space, I am in deep trust and listening for what comes next. How I was and still am being transformed by the three plant medicine ceremonies that I sat in last year. How wearing all white feels like a returning home to self 🤍 How I continue to reimagine the ways that I can integrate sitting in ceremony into my daily life.

I remember the first time I was asked to be a ceremonial assistant. I consciously had no idea what doing so entailed or how I might serve the women attending the retreat at the time. However, something rang deep in my bones and my body as truth. Seeds were planted that day. As I envision how I desire the rest of my days here to look, I see myself embodying what it means to be in ceremony and offering that to others. For now I will continue to follow the threads and be delighted in what I re~remember and re~discover 🌀

Last March I facilitated my very first ceremony. A cacao ceremony to usher in my 28th Solar Return Cycle 🌹 I was held deeply in love, warmth, and celebration by the women pictured in these photos ~ my sis⭐️s. Thank you @healeahluv for capturing these sweet and sacred moments on film, I will be cherishing them for the rest of my days. by @danajhadavis

Prayer as a love letter to the Divine. A moment of thanks. A daily devotional practice. An opportunity to free yourself and lay down your grief, baggage, and scars. A portal to higher dimensions, entities, and timelines.

I’ve always been surrounded and wrapped up in God’s love and warmth. Even when I wasn’t aware of it—even when I didn’t want to believe it, or acknowledge it. I was raised in a household where I graciously had the freedom to choose how I communed with the Most High. From a young age I was allowed to create my own unique relationship to God, one that was free of shame and expectation. As a 12th House native, I relished in this opportunity. My ascension has been one of exploration, honor, and deep soul healing.

As I close my eyes and whisper the words that are most resonant in my heart, I connect the dots and re-remember the divinity that is interwoven into all things; people, spaces, animals, and nature.

How to pray: an offering for these trying times 🕊️🕯️ is an intimate glimpse into how I define prayer, my growing innerstanding of how God uses religions/sacred texts to communicate with us, as well as daily rituals and practices to support your prayer journey.
