What makes a character unforgettable?

For me, it’s their flaws and their resilience.

I have conducted various in-depth interviews with my characters: https://www.danalemaster.com/post/chatting-with-characters

Writing dialogue is very different than writing every other part of the book. Sometimes it’s the most difficult section, too.

You have to consider dialect, slang, regional differences, cultural differences and more.

The core themes in my book, A Death in Hartsend, are loyalty, silent prejudice, female friendship, the cost of looking away.

Which do you prefer when you’re reading a book - hardback or softback?

Or have you switched to ebooks and audio books now?

What are your preferences and why?

I personally like the feel of a hardback book, but like the flexibility of reading ebooks so I can change the font size if needed. by @danalemaster
