Sweet girl. May you forgive me for the abruptness of how your life ended. May we be reunited and resume our love fest. 🤍🖤 You taught me more about love than anything. I am so grateful I have your DNA in that scar you gave me. Not being able to say goodbye was a trauma. I trust this journey of life but sometimes it feels impawsible 🐾💔
I will love you forever ♾️ by @danamahonwellness

A bit about me. If you’re seeing this… read til the end…? Share about yourselves too. I love genuine connection. by @danamahonwellness

Well friends, it has been 18 months since I was here last. There has been WAY too much life to share here. But, after losing our beloved dad, caregiving for our mom for the last year and a half, 5 weeks in Costa Rica (pics another time), losing one of our beloved dogs 🐼 , countless dogsits (more on that soon), still hosting some wellness gatherings, and, buying a little travel trailer which I currently live in, I thought I’d share a bit more now that I have the energy to do so.

Here are some shots capturing the Ayurvedic Head Massage which I love offering, along with some projects I’ve worked on, and the little 🚐, which I will name soon once I get the decal off the outside and can replace it with her new vibe. 🩵🤍

I’m at a sweet beach resort for the next bit. More on that too.

Summer Blessings friends. 🪶 by @danamahonwellness

Popcorn for breakfast lunch or dinner. Or all three.

Still adjusting to living without a mini fam 🐶 🐶 🐶 🐶. One of the hilights of my day was feeding the dogs. 🥹

But since I can’t change that 💔, if I am to find the silver linings of living alone, it is this.

🍿. This batch was seasoned with sea salt, pepper, monk fruit powder for a bit of sweetness, and some 🌶️ for spice. 😋 by @danamahonwellness

November has consistently been my least fave month. Like since birth 😝. And every year I say I’ll create a new story. But then time change, rain, and I’m back in the funk.

However, first off no time change in BC this year!! Wahoo. Annnnd, I’m gonna embrace the NO part of November this year. Annnd, I know I know, how we feel isn’t dependant on external factors but sometimes it helps! by @danamahonwellness

I can’t leave a cool find behind. It’s just not possible.

It was def a one of a kind. It was $5. But in the end, I needed to grow my torso by 3 inches, and a whole lotta patience that even I didn’t have. Plus I would forever need an assistant for the back.
so … back it went. 💛🖤 by @danamahonwellness

In the time it takes to think about what to wear, you can rock out 20 squats, some lunges and a few wall push ups. I may not be competition ready 😜 but if I don’t have to don a bra or shoes to get a workout in, I’m satisfied. by @danamahonwellness

My first small gathering on the North Island back in October 2023 was in a sweet little shop.

I didn’t have a space yet so I collaborated with the @essentials_refillery and created a women’s afternoon / exclusive shop event. We had 25 women register and it sold out within days.

🧖🏽‍♀️ It was the start of 3 wonderful years building community and relationships there, and developing a women’s wellness culture. Following this were more events like it including several sold out retreats, yoga series filled to capacity, sauna and self-care days, love boxes and more.

🧺 I may be in a different locale now but my passion hasn’t changed. Thirty + years and it only grows stronger.
I will be creating a new women’s wellness “box” for the holidays. It will be in a different vessel than a box to allow for more to be made! Think sweet cord basket, filled with glorious locally made product from The Comox Valley to the North Island.

If you’re already thinking ahead for the holidays, remember there are ways to contribute to your wellness and the wellness of others, including small women-run Island businesses.

If you want to learn more, comment 🧺 and I’ll
be sure to include you in the upcoming details.

When I’m whining all winter that it’s damp…circle back to this reel and sent it to me 😝

It’s been 25 years since I’ve been here and I’m still not quite adjusted 🤦🏻‍♀️. But days like this sure do help ☀️.

How ‘bout you?
Wet and mild?
Dry and cold?
Humid and hot?
What’s your ideal? by @danamahonwellness

My favourite part of the day (aside from coffee ritual) is moving my body. However she wishes. It is my way of saying “thank you”. For continuing to carry me. This is sped up x8 so you can imagine how slow each movement was. 🙏🏾

Rainy days are purrrrfect for this. I’ve been intending to create a new board for months and yet somehow desire wasn’t enough. I’d stare at magazines and choose Netflix instead 🤷🏻‍♀️

Can’t rush an artist 😜

An animal haven is my dream. And what separates that from becoming a reality is whether I believe it, feed it and treat it as though it is so.
So 😉 here we go.

For the last almost 2 years, I’ve given myself many passes…and I’d do it again. Passes for being on my phone too much, eating the wrong food (my current wine gum problem is real lol), not meditating when I had time, binge watching Netflix, not earning enough income. I was focussed on giving myself grace and slack for navigating an exceptionally difficult time.

I don’t regret that. And I will continue to extend that as I move through more challenges.

And, there’s a fine line between grace or allowance, and enabling / self sabotage.
Only we know when it is time to rest, and time to move. And that fluctuates.

As we move into winter, I know it’s not the season to kick it up a notch… But today I decided something needed to change. So we’ll see how it goes 😂 I like sharing here because it keeps me accountable in a way.
No one would judge me if today was the first and last day of this shift 😆 but I like connecting here.

I don’t know why I haven’t used a weighted vest before but I’m in love. My previous trainer partner always encouraged it but it always felt excessive 😝. Now I get it.

I plan to be unrecognizable by Dec 25th, on various levels, but also, you’ll still know it’s me. 😜 by @danamahonwellness
