So happy to be able to be part of battery Dance festival this year, 45 years anniversary, with a hand of annita @staystrongcut_ and the amazing choreographies/er @melaniefutorian . Having an amazing participation of international dancers, all mixed together in one beautiful story.

after so many years of dancing and creating my persona, I never imagine being able to dance right next to the Statue of Liberty🗽🗽🗽🗽 in an space, full of art and beauty.
I only can express my gigantic gratitude to my universe ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

“Tinder," choreographed by company member Anita Havel was a major crowd-pleaser at the Battery Dance Festival (https://batterydance.org/battery-dance-festival-august-16-2026/). Attendees loved how it cleverly balanced humor and modern reality with the elegance of contemporary dance. [1 (https://batterydance.org/battery-dance-festival-august-16-2026/)]
The crowd particularly enjoyed several key elements of the routine:
    • Witty and Relatable Concept: The piece playfully explores the trials, tribulations, and awkwardness of modern online dating through the lens of older adults. The audience found the theme highly entertaining, witty, and deeply relatable.
    • Playful Energy: Set to a dynamic musical backdrop featuring Pete Lewis, the routine brought a lighter, high-energy contrast to some of the festival's more intense dramatic pieces. The spectators frequently smiled and laughed at the expressive storytelling. [1 (https://batterydance.org/battery-dance-festival-august-16-2026/)]
    • Expressive Nuance: Performers like Mindy Haywood, Yumiko Niimi, Antonio Melenciano, and Emmanuel Zumbo executed Havel's choreography with sharp comedic timing. Reviewers and viewers praised how the performance proved that "mature artistry" can be incredibly fun, vibrant, and relevant.[1 (https://batterydance.org/battery-dance-festival-august-16-2026/)] taken in Battery Park NY by @dance_with_emmanuel
