STORYTIME!! Fun fact, when I started Dance Fam I had NO idea if anyone was going to show up. I had a room to rent, I had 4 other instructors, and a prayer that at least one person would show up.

Hundreds of students later, our Dance Fam community has grown so much…it’s time for our own space!!

Our new studio will be opening August 24th on 96th and Michigan! A year ago Jaelynn would not BELIEVE how far we’ve come in the time we’ve had!!! But I genuinely am so stinking happy that so many adults get to learn how to dance. 🥹 Dance Fam is my happy place!!!

Here’s why adulting feels hard right now:

You don’t have anything in your life that’s just for YOU and that’s just for FUN!!

You don’t need another workout routine or Target run-you need to move your body in a way that lights your soul UP!!

And we are going to help you do just that! We are Dance Fam- a feel good dance studio for adults in Carmel Indiana!! We offer ballet, hip hop, contemporary, jazz, musical theater, tap, and SO MANY MORE classes. We want YOU to join us!!

Comment “first class” and I’ll send you a code to get your first class for $5!!

From 10 people in a rented gym to 300 visits a week and our VERY OWN STUDIO?! 🥹💗

If you told me back in 2023 that this little idea would turn into all of THIS, I wouldn’t have believed you.

I wish I could go back and give past Jaelynn a big hug and tell her that some things just take time to build. I wish I could tell her to keep her chin up when only 1 person showed up to a big event or when another dance studio owner told me I was absolutely crazy trying to sell adult dance classes. I wish I could show her the finished beautiful studio when I was ghosted by so many landlords.

And I also wish I could lean on future Jaelynn a little bit. I wonder if I’ll be able to keep affording rent as it increases year to year, and if I’ll ever be able to find a better work/life balance that’s not complete survival mode.

But for now, I’ll celebrate the 40 classes a week, my incredible team of instructors, and a community of adults who show up to dance, make friends, and have the BEST time doing it. 😭

Thank you Dance Fam. Because of YOU this dream is a reality and it’s bigger and better than I EVER imagined. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

Out here drippin’ in finesse 😮‍💨

Look at them bringing the SUAVE ENERGY 🔥🙂‍↕️This choreo was so fun to really dive into some more subtle and nuanced moves- not everything in dance has to be big and bold.
