Happy Navratri! ✨

As we begin nine nights of celebration, we’re looking back at RangaMandal — where Garba, colour, and community came together to create a shared work of art. 🎨👣

Every step left a mark. Together, we transformed a canvas into a mandala filled with movement, connection, and joy.

Thank you to our amazing artists and to everyone who danced, created, and celebrated with us.

Thank you to @dancemakersto for supporting this initiative and @the.kalacollective for inspiring us to bring Canvas of Collaboration back to Toronto this year.

May this Navratri bring the same spirit of togetherness into your homes and hearts.

Our second curator of 2026/27 is @djritaspirit

Rita Barieieva is a Ukrainian-born, Vancouver-based street dance artist, DJ, and curator whose practice centers on music, street dance, community exchange and relationship-building.

She is the founder and curator of @cypher_killa Dance Festival, an event focused on cyphers as a social structure and using dance as a tool for conversation. by @dancemakersto

Having grown up in India, Garba holds such a special place in my soul. Seeing this incredible level of youth talent right here in Canada completely blew me away. Watching my daughter dress up, connect so deeply with her roots, and joyfully honour our lineage, culture, and traditions was an unforgettable, emotional moment for me. ❤️✨
