We’re absolutely exhausted but a NYC Christmas trip with my tiny broke bestie was worth EVERYTHING. So many dreams came true and so many core memories were made.

If this is on your bucket list: Wear layers because as the locals say, “It’s brick” outside.

Life doesn’t stop when your heart is broken. You just learn to carry the grief with you while finding little moments of light along the way.

Side-note but related: I travel A LOT and Boone, NC is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. 🏔️🌳🌅

I never would have dreamed I’d drop off my 13-year-old at a college campus for ballet training all summer.

On one hand: Spread your wings, chase your dreams, fly!

On the other hand: Is it too late to enroll as a middle-aged ballerina so I can keep an eye on her?

My tiny ballerina is living a dream she has worked so hard for, and I couldn’t be prouder. But leaving a piece of my heart as I drive away is a special kind of motherhood.

I’m equal parts proud mom, emotional mess, and I definitely cried before making it out of the parking lot.

Dance with all of your heart, dream big, and know that your momma is cheering for you every step of the way. 💜🩰 I couldn’t be more proud of you @ellaonpointe by @dancemompnw

Thank you for the love and training you’ve poured into my girl the past 4 years. You’ve been more than a dance studio for her; you’ve been a safe space as she’s navigated life and all of its messiness. Thank you all for fully preparing her to begin her professional track ballet journey… in just a few weeks! 🩰

Trying to keep my mind off of my broken heart so I’m tackling projects I’ve been putting off (tomorrow isn’t promised!). I’m not sure if this is the final version but I’ve been wanting to shadow box @ellaonpointe’s first ballet slippers and the shoes she wore as Clara in Nutcracker.

Back-to-back competition weekends with a 3-day Vegas work convention squeezed in the middle… life has been a blur lately.
But when she steps on stage, everything slows down.
Watching her dance makes every mile, late night, and crazy schedule completely worth it. 💜✨
