A choreographer known for her strong leadership, years of experience, and collaborative spirit, Louise Hradsky is a creative with a refined point of view. Originally from Western Canada, she found her home in the vibrant Vancouver film and television industry in 2006, working steadily across the globe as a performer, choreographer, and movement coach since.

As a performer, Louise landed roles in feature films like: Sucker Punch, Mirror Mirror; and Deadpool 2, and TV shows including: A Series Of Unfortunate Events, Once Upon A Time, and Hellcats. Her balance of style, technical athleticism, and magnetic character performance also led her to Cirque Du Soleil, where Louise played the revered role of the Green Lizard in Cirque’s longest-running resident show in Las Vegas, Mystére.

In her years as a film and television choreographer, Louise has been nominated for an Emmy Award, MTV Movie and TV Award, and won a Leo Award for outstanding choreography. Her recent credits include ELLE, Grease: Rise Of The Pink Ladies, Godzilla & The Titans, Yellowjackets, Pachinko (Opening Credits), The Good Doctor, To All The Boys (trilogy), A Million Little Things, The Midnight Club, and The Haunting Of Bly Manor, among others. by @danceoncamera.series

Jeffrey Mortensen is an Emmy nominated, Leo Award winning choreographer. He grew up as an artistic gymnast and a Ukrainian dancer in Edmonton, Alberta. At 19, he joined Cirque Du Soleil’s The Beatles LOVE show as one of the 4 main characters. It was here that ignited his continued passion for storytelling through movement and choreography. This passion lead him into the finale episode of Season 3 of Canada’s So You Think You Can Dance Canada. Since his third place finish on SYTYCDC, he has been pursuing a career in television and film as a Performer and Choreographer. Notable credits include Disney’s Descendants, FOX’s Rocky Horror Picture Show, ABC’s Once Upon a Time, J-Pop super group E-Girls, Disney’s Zombies 2, Madonna’s God Control Music Video, NBC’s Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist and most recently as Associate and Co-Choreographer on Paramount+’s Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies which garnered him his first Emmy nomination.

Additionally, he sits as a Co-Chair on the Dance Committee for UBCP/ACTRA and is helping to push the recognition of the value and contribution that dance provides in film and television. by @danceoncamera.series

Aaaannnd we’re back! Looking forward to meeting and working with another round of inspiring dancers this fall. 💥

Join @jeffreymortensen and @lou.sky for a two day intensive where we dive deep into the skills needed to be a dancer in film and television. Dancers will work closely with a certified steadicam operator, running practical exercises and executing choreography from scenes we’ve mounted on past projects. 🎥

We ensure dancers leave the weekend with a thorough understanding of their role, the roles of others around them, and etiquette on set. We also work individually with dancer to build their comfort in bringing the most magnetic version of themselves to the camera. 🤩

October 4 & 5 at The Annex Vancouver

So proud of the Vancouver dance community! @joetuliao @gippstagram you two have created such a fun, inclusive, and inspiring space for creatives. 🫂

To be on @innovatefilmshowcase selection committee has been rewarding in many ways. From the initial pitches to seeing them realized on the big screen is really an impressive feat. 23 short dance films selected and it goes to show that dance is truly a vehicle for storytelling… horror, unrequited love, even to sexy worms… there really are no bounds to the imaginations of choreographers, dancers, and the directors that help capture their vision.

Congrats to @oohelendang and @josephle_art on their double award for the evening. 🏆🏆 An exciting vision, innovative direction, and quite clearly the fan favorite. Well deserved 🥰.

Also to my partner in crime @lou.sky my fellow selection committee member… So grateful to be moving through all these chapters with you🕴️🕴️
