Yesterday my furbaby girl, Cleo (aka Clee Clee, Cleodotra, Clega Ann) crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈🐾 just 2 months shy of her 15th birthday.
She battled cancer, kidney disease, and IBD. I’m at peace knowing she doesn’t have to deal with that anymore.
Before bringing her in yesterday, it was pouring rain. On our way to the hospital, the sky opened up and the sun came out. And when I left, there was the most spectacular sunset. I know she was shining up amongst the rays.
For my baby girl who never let me hold her, she gave me the greatest gift at the end by letting me hold her for two hours before she passed.
She was a spitfire little kitten who gave Lola a run for his money. They became the best companions and it always made me happy knowing they had each other whenever I was gone.
While she wasn’t the most affectionate cat, she always wanted to be by me, which I found so sweet. The last few years she would meow at me at the kitchen table after breakfast to get me to go into the office so she could lay in her chair. Then meow at me to go to the couch at night so she could lay on the ottoman. With lots of meowing in between for her meals!
She loved to be pet and would make me do it until my hand felt like it could fall off. She loved to lick my hands with that sandpaper tongue! She loved her beauty rest… it was hard to find pictures with her eyes open.
She was a wonderful cat, who gave me so many years of love and companionship.
I love you so much and miss you, sweet girl. I hope you’re enjoying endless meals, quiet naps, and all the scratchies you can handle. 😽💕

New Year’s resolution… to find the best Mac & Cheese recipe (and to post more cooking videos). This wasn’t it. 👎 Send me all of your recipes! I want a creamy, cheesy Mac & Cheese, opposed to a baked or non-creamy version. (This was the copycat recipe from Noodles & Company.) by @dancingdag
