My Grandma Helen wrote this poem in February of 1942 and included it in her scrapbook of poems she wrote during World War 2, which I am lucky enough to have. Reading her words, knowing she felt so many of the same things I feel, brings me a lot of comfort. I hope her words bring you comfort too. by @dancingdaisydog

Please please please remember to vote today. Your voice and your vote matters, especially in local elections. There are a lot of bigoted extremists on ballots this year, and if we all vote, we can keep them out of public office. #vote2022 #voteforequality by @dancingdaisydog

Between Covid, police brutality, systemic racism, and the gross apathy toward human life so many continue to exhibit, how can we go on, day after day, like everything is fine and normal under the weight of so much tragedy and grief. If the murder of a child, caught on video and broadcast to the world, doesn’t move people to compassion, to empathy, to caring, then what will? by @dancingdaisydog

I cast a thousand dirty looks
Before I met you
I’ll cast a thousand more, jackass
Before I am through
I wanna be your nightmare, asshole
Until that cocky attitude has flown
I’m here to tell ya, dummy
That I’m crone to the bone
