Incredibly proud of the progress these campers made over the course of two days!

Here is a peek into our afternoon session of day two working on the rifle portion of the show!

Those who chose the advanced rifle class were provided scaffolded approaches to the choreography in this segment. This autonomy allowed performers to focus on their performance while achieving fluency, or pushing themselves toward a challenge. #colorguard #riflechoreography #spinclinic #guard #mdbcg taken in The University of Alabama by @dancingdanae

Here is my Advanced Movement piece from earlier this Summer at Crimson Music Camp! Wait for Me from Hadestown. This was probably my favorite movement choreography I’ve written thus far.

(Side note: The prep into the possé hold toward the end represents a double pirouette 🤪)

I had such a fun weekend teaching at the Crimson Summer Color Guard Clinic in Tuscaloosa! 120 amazing students from all over the United States spent two full days learning movement and equipment pieces from our staff and members of the MDBCG.

Here is one of my advanced movement pieces to the song “You Will be Found” from Dear Evan Hansen.✨

I know it sounds super cliche… but you make me feel some type of way… ☺️

Didn’t fully extend my arms through the final chasse, but I’ll survive. 🙈 YOU should come to the @altamareawinterguard clinic this Saturday in Tuscaloosa, AL to learn this intermediate dance piece! There will be dance, flag, rifle, and sabre classes with varying levels of experience offered throughout the day. Hope to see you there!🫶🏼

Moon River🌙

Hoping to see you THIS SATURDAY in Tuscaloosa, AL at Northridge High School for our final @altamareawinterguard clinic of the summer. I will teach this advanced sabre piece, along with a few other pieces of equipment at varying levels of ability.

This piece has some inspiration from the @miamisburgworldguard and the oh so talented @hrgraham. I’m still left in awe of how beautiful their production was this past winter season.🫶🏼
