📍Greenland 🇬🇱
The North-East of #Greenland 🇬🇱 is one of the remotest and most inaccessible places on this planet but certainly also one of the most stunning ones...

📍South Georgia 🇬🇧
South Georgia is - for me - one of the most fascinating islands in the Southern hemisphere.

The so called "Serengeti of the Southern Ocean" with its alpine scenery is the home of millions of penguins, fur seals, elephant and leopard seals, many albatrosses and an abundance of other amazing species.

Every time I came I was overwhelmed by hundreds of thousands of KING PENGUINS 🐧 in Salisbury Plain and Gold Harbour. The penguin's curiosity and comical behaviour always touched me deeply.

#southbeach - no doubt has changed.

But the beach is still the beach.
And the sea is still the sea.

📍 Dresden, Germany 🇩🇪

The attractive position of Dresden's old Baroque city centre on the banks of the Elbe River gives it the nickname "Florence of the Elbe".

The splendour of the Residenzschloss with its opulent 'Green Vault' treasure collection, the stunning ensemble of Baroque buildings but also the reconstructed Frauenkirche and the Semper Opera House make Dresden a fine proof of architectural beauty.

Coming to Dresden is an unforgettable experience for diving into history, art and architecture of Saxonia.

📍 Cologne

The lowest water levels of the Rhine River for years have reached so far a minimum of 75cm. Another heat ♨️ wave is just pushing in which will lead to even lower measurements..!
Normal water level of the Rhine in Cologne is around 3,20m.

Epilogue:
On 31st July 2026 River Rhine broke all low level records from 2018 and underscored 69cm - still dropping!

Epilogue no.2:
On Sep. 28th River Rhine finally broke all low water levels ever measured in history and dropped down as low as 40cm on the scale.
INSANE!
