Prince Hakeem Accidentally Preached the Gospel...
I was watching Coming to America and realized something I never saw before.

Prince Hakeem left his palace to pursue a bride. He stepped down from royalty, went undercover, and never forgot who he was.

Philippians 2 says Jesus humbled Himself and stepped down too. Not because He had to. But because He came for a bride.

The question is… do we remember who we are?

If you’re in Christ, you’re not spiritually broke. You’re not trying to earn identity. You’ve been adopted into a Kingdom.

Don’t dim your light.

Let your soul glow.

God has a way of using classrooms to prepare us for callings.

Looking back, every late night, every discussion post, and every project was about more than earning a Master’s in Digital Marketing. God was preparing me for what’s next.

I pray this encourages my son and anyone watching to never discredit education. Whether it’s a degree, a trade, or a certification, never stop growing. God can use a surrendered mind just as much as a surrendered heart.

The classroom is closed, but the assignment isn’t. 🎓🙏🏾
Thank you to my wife and son who allowed me the time to build the foundations of a better life for us. And thank you in advance to everyone congratulating me.

There’s a Japanese proverb that says, “One father is more than a hundred schoolmasters.”

A Chinese proverb says, “The virtues of the father are the treasures of the son.”

And an African proverb reminds us, “A good father leaves his imprint on his children for a lifetime.”

What’s interesting is that people from completely different cultures all seem to understand the same thing: fathers matter.

That’s why Proverbs 20:7 says, “The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.”

Today, I’m just grateful. Being a father is one of the greatest blessings God has given me. Far from perfect, but every day I pray that I show the same love to my son that God does to (me) His children. That my life points my son to Jesus and leaves an imprint that lasts long after I’m gone.
