The Prodigal Son: the view from the servants window.

I had this image in prayer a couple weeks ago, thinking, what would other people have thought watching the Father run to the Son?

Then this image popped into my brain, it was like I was there, looking through an open window. I instantly felt warm and grateful, because I was once the son in the distance and the Father ran to me! I am super grateful to finally sketch it on paper! by @daneadams12

Conversations, especially in-person conversations, are important!

Had a very meaningful conversation this weekend and these words just jumped out of my mouth. It totally shocked me, and was totally the Spirit! I instantly knew I had to write it down, and draw!

“Fear is not the wind that moves the ship forward, but the rope that ties the sails up tight. The Holy Spirit is the wind and the enemy cannot act as the Spirit so he does all he can to make sure we keep the sails tied tight.”

A couple months ago a @mercedariansisters prayed over me and said the words “He is melting away pieces of your heart.” I knew there were areas of my heart that needed healing, been on that journey for a while now, but it was not those areas the Lord wanted. The Lord wanted the areas of my heart that I put up the metal walls, through experience, that I did not want to hurt again because “I knew better.”

So I had to put the image I had on paper.

Healing is more than just a physical moment, but a humbling moment. How often do I distract myself from the very walls I put up because they are “protected” when all I am doing is keeping Jesus out!

Hope today is a day we can all step into the healing love of the Father! Allow Him into those places so He can melt the walls of your heart and bring you to the fullness He created you to be! by @daneadams12

First of all, All Glory to God!

Grit, Trust, and Choice.

These have been the three words that have been echoed throughout the season, and man did those words show themselves all year long! To say I am proud of these young men is an understatement and truly there are not enough words of affirmation and gratitude in the world that can truly encompass this season with this group!

Seasons come and seasons go and this season ended a little shorter than we wanted on the pitch, but what didn’t end is the lessons learned and taught along the way and the brotherhood that stood through test after test. It is ALWAYS bigger than a game!

These young men fought through many moments of adversity and realized they can do hard things, clawed through physical knockout drag out matches to realize they had the perseverance, and never gave up. They had Grit!

I watched this crew grow together as one and become more than just a team, they became brothers! We learned that trust doesn’t mean to take the day off but demands a response, a response to work hard and know my brother has my back. They learned to trust each other!

Lastly, they had a choice and they chose well. They chose sacrifice over self, they chose to fight when it was tough to see the result, they chose to show up and band together through adversity, they chose to keep swinging even when their backs were against the wall, they chose to leave a legacy rather than short term fame, they chose selflessness, they chose the STM Culture!

There are many thanks along the way for this second year coaching these young men and to all of you thank you! Most importantly, thank you to my staff Josh Ardoin, JP Costa and Landon Sellers for everything this year! Thank you to these young men who have shown me many many many lessons and moments of great gratitude!

These men have left a lasting legacy that will live on in the history of STM!
