“PRETTY IN BLACK …a Dressed in Black Affair” Concert Film
Filmed & Directed by; Karl Baker @karlbake
Filmed Live at; Armageddon Beach Party Lounge
September 29, 2022
.
It almost seems like another life when i took the stage the night of this concert. this felt so magical, and so surreal, the energy and love felt from this night has last longer than i ever could have imagined. I had no idea that what i started on that stage that night would last the rest of my life.
.
This is the very first time this footage is being presented in full. Filmed by my good friend Karl Baker, he approached this shoot with curiosity and wonder, as if you were attending yourself, and he really captured the genuine feeling of the set overall.
.
This was a very vulnerable performance, one of the first times i ever showed these songs to a crowd, and i had no idea that the songs i was so insecure about were some of the best pieces of music i had produced at that point. Everyone was singing along to songs they had never heard before. It felt like a dream.
.
I’m releasing this now, because these songs are finally coming out, and they’re coming out in a big way. I’m finally bringing to life the visions that up until now, had just been ideas in my notebook.
.
I edited the film with the full versions of the songs as the audio from the original footage, but this is a great opportunity to preview some of these songs I’ll be releasing.
.
Thank you so much to everyone that’s been rocking with me since this unforgettable night, and thank you to everyone by my side and rocking with me today.
.
This is Dressed in Black. and who am I? I’m dane dopeRock. F$&k around and find out and you might see me on the other side.
