I have a single music goal right now. To write 100 songs in a year.

When it comes to my music I float around in a world where it's not my career, but it's also a little more than a hobby. I constantly bounce around with ways to get to a higher level: "I'll get better at marketing my music, I'll improve my production skills, I have to gig my original stuff more, I'll get better at social media, I'll try to get into sync licensing," and on and on. It all gets mushed up into a pile of overwhelm and stress. Just what creativity needs right?!

So I peeled back some layers. What can I do consistently, that I really love, that won't cost me money, or have a learning curve, or require tons of video/audio production skills? A challenge/goal I can work on when my kids are sleeping or when I have any free time. Something I can make progress at without the hope that I'll reach a higher level of success.

So, I'm just going write a lot of songs, that's it. I'll document my progress on social media. I hope you'll follow along and hear what I do. Be well. taken in Marlborough, Massachusetts by @danemino
