This October, Danena Ortigia welcomes Emily for a week held between the sea and the sky. We gather on the 11t and leave on 17th.

Jivamukti is a practice that awakens the body and lifts the heart through breath, movement and devotion. Evenings soften into Yin, long and still, releasing all that we hold.

We still have one one room left 🌼

A taxi driver from the airport in Sicily told me that, on this island, the people live under Mount Etna’s rule🌋 - knowing that on any day she could decide to erupt and kill them all. 😅

He said that because of this philosophy, they live every day to the full… knowing that tomorrow is never guaranteed. 🙏

So… they eat well, have long lunches, drink wine and enjoy each other’s company every single day. 🙌

I think it’s safe to say that we fully embodied this Sicilian ethos during our retreat last week! 😄

La Dolce Vita Retreat was its name, and “the sweet life” was definitely its nature. 🌿

Our lovely guest @bohoyogabody coined the term “from vinyasa to vineyards” which I think sums it up perfectly. 🤣

Huge thank you to @danenasicily for hosting us in an absolutely stunning venue - a restored Sicilian farmhouse surrounded by olive groves, with the most incredible food (and the cutest cats you could ever meet). 🥰

From the random rave in a vineyard, to beach trips, exploring caves, dancing on a boat, pizza under the stars, nightly rituals, moonlit swimming and possibly too much Aperol… and I think we did a bit of yoga in there too. 🤪

The biggest thank you to these fabulous ladies who brought the best vibes. 🥹

Ciao for now, Sicily! 🇮🇹

With love and gratitude always,

Cara Gio 💛

Ti vogliamo bene, oggi e sempre. 🕊️💛 by @danenasicily

Six days in Ortigia with Paola Lucchesi practicing Vinyasa & Yin. Sept 27 – Oct 3.

Mornings start with a 90 minute Vinyasa practice by the sea. Brunch after, made with whatever’s fresh that day. Afternoons are yours to wander Ortigia, or use one of you treatments, a bit of healing touch to slow the week down.

A couple of evenings we bring it back down further with Yin and meditation.
Join us!

Paola’s been teaching over a decade — Vinyasa, Anusara, Yin, Pilates. All levels welcome.
