I was pregnant when a friend told me this: “our only job as parents is to give our children a childhood they don’t need to heal from.”

It hit me hard then, but it hits differently now… as I watch my son becoming his own little person.

I’m sure I’ll make plenty of mistakes along the way. But one thing I know for sure, he’ll always have a mum who’s trying her best to help him grow up feeling safe, seen, and loved.

Say what you will about this new generation of parents, but I truly believe we’re raising a different generation. One rooted in compassion. Where being heard and validated matters. Where emotions have space. Where independence isn’t rushed, but nurtured.

Everywhere we go, my son gets told how happy he is. And even though every child is different, I know that happiness doesn’t just “happen.” It’s the result of the quiet, invisible work we do — healing our own wounds, showing up through exhaustion, taking the criticism, and still choosing to raise them gently and with the instinct that is printed in our bones 💕

So if no one’s told you lately, let me tell you now, your hard work counts. You’re doing it brilliantly 🤍

I can’t believe I’m almost officially in my late 30s haters will say that i already am, but these are lies, I don’t believe that and neither should you 😅

… how did I get here? 😳 Maybe I should let that question sink in a bit longer.

In the meantime, here’s something Ive been meaning to share with you all and tell me if you feel the same.

Before motherhood, I learned to see my body in the way society taught me: through desirability.

Attractive or not. Sexy or not. Worthy or not.

Breastfeeding disrupted that completely💪

Suddenly my body wasn’t something to be evaluated, it was something that worked.

A body that nurtured, comforted, healed, connected.
A body that kept another human alive with a softness that had nothing to do with beauty standards.

And now, as I begin to reconnect with the parts of myself that feel sensual and confident again, I’m deeply aware of this shift🥹

I’m more protective of how I allow my body to be defined.

I can enjoy feeling like a vibrant, sensual woman without letting society shrink my body back into something meant only for pleasure, attention, or consumption.

I can reclaim my sexuality without returning to the old narrative.

I can feel sexy without letting the world reduce my body to only that.

My body is not here to be consumed.
It is here to experience, to connect, to sustain.

Motherhood changed its meaning for me 💕completely and for the better.

🎃 Easy Cinnamon Pumpkin Cakes 🤎🍂

Soft, fluffy, cinnamon-sugar goodness in the cutest little pumpkin shape!

🍁Ingredients:
• 150g self-raising flour
• 100g sugar
• 1 egg
• 100ml milk
• 60ml vegetable oil
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

For the topping:
• 1 tbsp sugar
• ½ tsp cinnamon

🤎 Mix all the ingredients until smooth, pour into greased pumpkin-shaped moulds, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake at 180°C conventional / 160°C fan for 25–30 minutes, or until cooked through.

Save this recipe for your next autumn baking day 🎃🍂

The bedtime sprint is REAL 😂🏃🏻‍♀️

Truth be told, you never realise how fast you can run until you become a parent. Even if it’s just to squeeze in one episode of a TV show a week… with approximately 47 pauses🍿😂🤎

P.S. This is a Brazilian series, and I’m so proud to see my country producing something this good. I honestly can’t remember the last time I watched something that made me feel so connected to home. Absolutely incredible! 🥹🇧🇷

As much as I loved finally watching something I’d been looking forward to, my popcorn-catching skills didn’t quite live up to the occasion… so I decided to share only the nice part of the evening😂😅

I’m so pleased with how my bedroom turned out and believe me, everything was very much on a budget 💪. I still need a lovely fluffy rug for those cosy winter days ahead, but I think this is proof that just because you rent, it doesn’t mean your home has to feel boring 🥰

Another autumn must-do completed! 🎃✨

This year we went to @bradshawsfarmshopgarstang planning to bring home just one or two pumpkins… but they were all so gorgeous that we couldn’t help ourselves, one of each colour came home with us 😅🧡🤍💛
