Another video from my Master’s final at @codartsglobalmusics this time with @lareunionband

The song is called No me olvides, and I wrote the day my good friend @antoniopenalvermusic moved back from the Netherlands to Spain.

When you live so far away from home, your friends mean the world to you. I wouldn’t have made it through all these years without my international community, love you!! 🩵 wherever we all end up, I’ll always be thankful to you.

Playing with me:

🎹 @davidvaamonde
🎸Pedro Pardo
🥁 @diegohdzmusic
🪘 @krmen.mn
🎤 @camilosaxmusic
🪈 @hugrunelfa

Viola, voice, composition, arrangement by yours truly.

Two short videos of my new latin jazz quintet at my Master’s final some months ago!

It was a lot of fun (and a lot of work!!) to play all new compositions of mine and watch them come to life ☀️

1st song: Viento de Octubre. It’s a cold, windy and rainy afternoon, as perceived from my window.

2nd song: Todas las cosas que me hacen feliz. A list of things to remind myself that I have a blessed life.

Thanks to my friends for playing them with me 🫶🏼

🎹 @davidvaamonde
🎸 @mateo_beltran1
🥁 @daanarets
🪘 @krmen.mn

Sharing more videos soon :))

This is my piece Guaguancó Presto, inspired by the Rebecca Clarke sonata for viola ☀️

We are playing in one month the 5/03 at @jazz_cafe_dizzy in Rotterdam! Hope to see you there :)

Together with:

Looking back at everything that happened this year I remembered about this videos from this performance at @matrixrotterdam , when we were still presenting our EP with La Reunion! This is from my song Canción de Cuna 🙂

Grateful for every time I get to play a bolero, such a beautiful and underplayed genre. Also really challenging to write one!

Let me know what you think :)
