My post match celebratory Fremantle visit that turned into anything but. I was mortified upon arrival at Freo train station yet immediately took out my phone and started recording this historic site before me; the hordes of Freo faithful, despondent and bereft, heading home early before the trophy ceremony ‘cause they were getting the fuck out and I don’t blame them. It was a great game they did us proud. Look, I am an Eagles supporter, but, in saying that, I reckon Freo are still a chance for next year, so keep your chin ups fellas. #freo #dockers #grandfinal #brisbanelions #fremantledockers by @dani.dad.dag

I was inspired by the way the sun lit the counter. Had a go at framing a few different compositions. Decided to include all pics so you can see my working and also to create a reel. Maybe I’ll post my favourite as a seperate post. The last shot is from eye level, just to show how ordinary it all looks and to emphasise how much of a difference coming down to the countertop level makes when photographing still life.

I love how the two objects give the horizon a scale that is both human and cosmic.
