"Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing at all." - Helen Keller 🚵🏽‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️🏔️✈️🦄🏊‍♀️🏂

POSTS STORIES REELS

After losing nearly 75-pounds from a complete lifestyle overhaul in her late 20s, @dani_overbaugh discovered her one true passion - riding bikes.

Her unbelievable transformation suffered a setback when she was on a training ride in Panama City Beach, Florida, was hit by a car and broke her leg. She was told that her competitive multisport days were likely over.

Not one to be easily deterred Dani was determined to return to racing. In 2013 she became the youngest 2-person female team to complete @raceacrossamerica setting a new record.

Shattering the stereotypes of women in ultra-sports Dani became the first woman to compete in and complete the @epic5_challenge - five Ironman distance triathlons in five days, each on a different Hawaiian Island.

In 2019 Dani and her husband Jason set a new mixed 2-person record in a 1000-mile bike race, Race Across the West.

Dani is the author of best-selling book ‘Fear No Distance’ which encourages people to challenge themselves to dream big and let go of limitations.

She is also to be one of @vickianstey teammates in the four women @raceacrossamerica record attempt in June 2024 🇺🇸

If you have ever wanted to make drastic changes to your life or your health - at any age - but thought it was beyond your reach, listen to this episode and think again…

Had the privilege of traveling to Kona to cheer and support for some incredible athletes. While the race is always hard (it's the World Championships for a reason!) morning rain and high temps left the racers dealing with 99% humidity. To say it was steamy was an understatement. Proud of everyone who emptied their tanks. 1 in 5 pros DNF'd which just shows you how challenging it was.

Female competitors made up 27% of the total race field. What they lacked in size they made up for in grit.

Loved screaming my face off and being able to meet new friends from across the pond and stateside, then being able to enjoy Kona for a few days afterwards.

I will admit, as much as I enjoy watching and supporting others, this definitely made me a bit sad to be "retired from racing". There's something about the suffering I truly miss....so might be doing some research on events right now 🤣 by @dani_grabol

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I've had the privilege to be surrounded by some of the people I love most in the world today, who have made me feel so special! So grateful for another trip around the sun. 🦄🎉💥💕 by @dani_grabol

Why just snowboard down mountains when you can snowboard behind a horse? Welcome to skijoring aka good ole fashioned Western fun!

Proud of @thewunderingwarrior and @jaspermunns for taking the win in snowboard division!

Thank you to Steele Ranch for hosting, and @john.hyde.585 for organizing the event. It was so well run and super grateful for volunteers who trucked in the snow to make it happen. Love our community events like this! by @dani_grabol

@jemasranch had the pleasure and honor of hosting 11 Veterans this weekend for our first annual Veterans retreat. With a combined total of 122 years of service, 36 tours and approximately 24,000 veterans served through their various non profit work, this was a small way we could say thanks and honor people who are committed to making a continued impact in the lives of others.

It was a privilege to be able to help make this vision come to life and meet such wonderful people along the way.

Huge thanks to the associate director of the ministry of fun/grillmaster/Cackle King @thewunderingwarrior for helping make this event possible.

I'm grateful to be part of a project that gives back in so many ways, and hope that this was an opportunity to reflect, relax and reset for everyone! by @dani_grabol

Two years without hearing your voice. I am more convinced now than ever that you were truly one of the greatest men to ever live. I love you and miss you Dad. What I wouldn't give for one more day with you. Instead I listen to your voicemails, hear your laugh, and smile. 💜 by @dani_grabol

Couldn't have done it without the amazing support crew @abovethebar.fitness @hilarymurd truly the BEST.

Thank you @sarascott for cooking up this adventure.

That's a major personal record!! by @dani_grabol

Such an honor and privilege to have another Race Across America finish done!!!

We had incredibly odd conditions this year, a bad Kansas wind year (19 hours of constant cross and headwinds, no tailwinds!) and no cold weather (didn't even use arm warmers!) But those obstacles just make the finish that much sweeter. While we didn't get the course record we hoped for, we put up an absolute fight for it.

We started the race as strangers, forged friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. I'm proud of how we pulled this off as a team.

Last video shows me and Caz on sister #3. Love how we climbed the 4 sisters.

Beyond grateful for the crew and their selfless contributions to the team. Was everything perfect? Absolutely not. Were mistakes made? Yes, by everyone on the team. We are humans.

What do I enjoy the most about these races? Well-a lot. Love watching people have fun. I also enjoy the chance to manage the things about myself I don't like, give up control, show grace, have fun when your body screams at you. Not be a brat.

THANK YOU to everyone who texted, called, sent messages, met us out on the course with treats.

Cheerleader VIP goes to @betty.celebrates who sent a text at the beginning and end of EVERY SHIFT. She stayed up ALL NIGHT to cheer. Seeing those words meant a ton to us!

Up next: the beginning of my ultra gravel racing career 💜🦄✨ by @dani_grabol

Headed towards the halfway point!

Yesterday Colorado Highway Patrol told all racers we couldn't direct follow at night. This is always against race rules, and didn't feel safe at all. Descending the mountains at night without direct support wasn't on my bingo card. Thankfully it all worked out, but did slow us down some. Saw a mountain lion, fox, deer and elk!

I was happy to see Kansas until the end of my shift today- big railroad tracks and a gust of wind took me out. @machappareltri held up amazingly! Thick thighs do save lives, I am okay, kept riding. Bike can be fixed. 🦄🚴🏽‍♀️✨💜

We are looking forward to this last half!
